Twenty Eight

Nerina and Fah wanted to take Nunew out shopping since they are officially moving in to their new house next week. They wanted to buy house warming gifts so they took Nunew with them since Zee couldnt leave the office.

So now Nu is being dragged by their mothers as they walk around the mall. He's in between the two with both of his arms hooked into theirs. He's re-evaluating his life's choices as his feet feel like they're throbbing from too much walking.

"Come on, chop chop! We still need to get you new curtains!" Fah told her son.

"But ma, cant we just do it online? It will be delivered at the house too" Nunew told his mother

"Sweetie, you cant check fabrics when you shop online. That's why going to shops is better."
Nerina told Nunew

"Now come on, I'll buy you macarons after"
Nerina smiles at him.

"You promised Mamae"
Nunew stood up from the bench he was sitting on

"That's why you're his favorite, you bribe him with food"
Fah told her bestfriend as they started walking.

They were on their way to the shops when Nerina's name was called

"Ma Nerina!"

Nerina looked at who called her and saw that it was Sara. She felt Nunew tensed up so she sighed.

Sara walked towards them and Nerina kept her hold on Nunew's arm tight.

"Oh hello" Nerina gave her a tight smile

"Its been a long time Ma" Sara said to her as she smiles.

"Im really sorry, you have to forgive me. But can you remind me who are you again?" Nerina asked her

Nunew bit back a laugh. He knew Nerina knows her. They were talking about her yesterday. Nerina even commented how pretentious she is.
Nu bit his lip so he wont smile and just looked at his mother who is pinching his arm.

Sara looked surprised that Nerina doesnt remember her. She glanced at Nunew and she clenched her jaw.

"Im Sara, Zee's girlfriend in when he was in university. We've met a lot before. We even go on trips together. And look i still have the earrings you gave me"
Sarah shows her stud earrings

"Oh Sara. Yes. Pardon me, Zee's ex girlfriend. Yes. How could I forget? Silly me"
Nerina chuckled

"I see that you're here with Nunew. I didnt expect that you would be close to somebody like him"
Sara said to her as she eyes how Nerina is holding Nu's arm

"Somebody like him? You mean an award winning author who is loved by the whole thailand?" Nerina grinned

"You see, Nunew here is my favorite godson. His mother is my bestfriend. Him and Zee have been bestfriends since Nu was born, and now they're together! Isnt that so romantic?"
Nerina clapped her hands in excitement

Sara looked surprised that Nunew is that close to Nerina. It left her with a bitter taste in her tongue.

"We're actually here to buy house warming gifts since they'l be moving in together soon" Nerina squealed

Sara's eyes widened as she looks at Nunew who has a smirk on his face.

"And you just agreed to it?"
Sara blurted out

Nerina raised an eyebrow, so is Fah.

"Why wouldnt I?"
Nerina asked

"Well you basically gave us the silent treatment when Zee and I moved in together" Sara told her
