Eighteen

The two arrived at Nu's flat that night as they decided to sleep there this evening. The two has been sleeping in each other's places almost every evening that Zee has already thought of asking Nunew to just move in with him since they spend everyday together anyway.

Zee is lying on the bed after his shower as he browses on available properties on the market at the moment. He' been looking at places in between their houses that are still close to his building and to Generation publishing house so its easier for Nu to see his friends. Zee already found some properties that he wants to show Nunew before asking him to move in.

Zee was on his tablet when he started to hear a rumble in the sky. He looke out the window as the his eyes widened.

"Shit" Zee panics

He started rummaging through his bag in search for earplugs but he couldnt find any.

"Nunu! Nunew! Do you have any earplugs?!" Zee shouted but Nu didnt hear him.

He tried to search Nunew's drawers but he didnt fins any either. As his heart beat starts to go haywire, a very loud thunder angrily roared into the sky making Zee back up to a corner

"Nunew!" Zee shouted as he falls to the floor

Nunew was blow drying his hair in the bathroom and didnt hear the slow rumble outside. He thought he heard Zee shout his name so he stopped blowdrying and listens for a bit.

He then jumped as he got surprised by the loud thunder and he heard Zee shout for him.

"SHIT, Hia" Nunew immediately unplugged the dryer and went out.

When he opened the door, he saw Zee's things scattered all over the floor and his drawers open

We dont have earplugs!
Nunew realized in his head

His eyes were looking for Zee but he's not in bed but the door is still closed.

"Hia?! Where are you?" Nunew shouted but he didnt answer

Nunew walked around the room and saw Zee sitting on the floor in between the sofa and the wall. He is curled up like a ball as he covers his ears and rocking back and forth

"Oh my love"
Nunew whispered as he bends down

He looked at Zee and lifted his head up.

"Hia, im here. Sorry im late"
Nunew said as he offers him a reassuring smile.

Zee's eyes are watery. He's biting his lip as he breathes deeply.

"Nunu"
Zee whispered in his tiny voice

Nunew then slowly pulled Zee into a hug and rubbed his back

"Im here Hia. Im here" Nunew tells him

He then noticed a lighting which means thunder will be coming next. Nunew immediately covered Zee's ears.

Zee's eyes widened again when he heard it. He hugged Nunew tighter as the sound dies down.

"Its okay Hia, we'll get through this together. Its okay. Nunu is here" Nunew said as he kisses Zee's forehead.

He then slowly lead Zee back to the bed and quickly draw the curtains. He took his earbuds and laid down with Zee.

"Nunu, im sorry. Im scared. I dont have any earplugs" Zee told Nunew.

"It's okay baby. Im here. Here lets put this into your ears" Nunew said as he puts one in his ears and one into Zee.

Another loud thunder roared across the stormy sky again before Nunew could play anything on his phone. Zee jumped and hugged Nunew. He hid his face on Nu's neck as he wraps himself around Nunew.
