Thirty Seven

Zee's meetings already ended and Nunew is already and hour late. He's calling him but his number wont ring. He is starting to panic so he tries James. It rang for a while then he answered.

"James, is Nu with you?"
Zee asked immediately

"You better have a good way to save your ass phi or else im telling you im going to burn your whole building down with you inside of it"
James spat out with full anger in his voice

"What?! I dont understand what you're saying! Nu is supposed to come to my office an hour ago but he never did! Im starting to worry as I cant even reach him! Is he with you?!"
Zee asked

"Oh he came to you phi. He went there before knocking at my door crying his eyes out. He was there when you welcomed another woman in your arms."
James told him

"Another woman?! What the heck are you on about?!"
Zee said as he tries to think who they are referring to as he was in the meeting morning.

Natalie!
Zee suddenly remembered.

"Wait james! He's mistaken! He got it all wrong! She is -"
James cut off Zee

"Phi you will not explain to me. You have to say that to Nunew and to be honest he is not ready to see or hear you right now. "
James said to Zee

"James i need to see him. I need him to know its not what he think it is. Just let me speak to him. Please im begging you"
Zee told James.

James sighed.
He is unsure of what to do. He is angry at Zee for making Nunew cry but he also thinks that Nunew needs to clear it out with Zee.

He bites his lip as he steps back to living room. He looks at Nu who is at the sofa hugging a pillow.

"Nu, P'Zee is on the other line. Do you want to hear him out? I think you should"
James softly said to his Nong.

Nunew slowly shaked his head.
James sighed and talked to Zee again

"Sorry phi, he doesnt want to. I think you should let him be."
James told him

"But James"
Zee tried to reason out

"Phi he will hear you when he's ready. But not now. You have to give him space. He needs some time alone to think. Im hanging up. Bye phi"
James quickly said before hanging up.

He then sat next to Nunew who put his head on James lap as his tears fall again.

"It'll be alright Nu. Take your time. Im here."
James said as he brushes Nu's hair, comforting the younger one.

Zee is about to rip his hair out. He cant just let Nunew think that he is cheating on him. He cant lose him again.
He called Net to ask where James' house is. He arrived there but there is no car outside. He tried knocking at the door and nobody answered. He tried ringing Nat, Tutor and Yim but nobody knew where the two are.

Zee felt frustrated, he drove back to Nu's house and decided to wait inside his building. He reached his door and Zee entered the apartment. Nunew still didnt change his door code which is a relief for Zee. He looked all around but they are not there either.

He sat on the sofa and put his head on his hands.

"Why is the world so cruel to me?"
Zee said to himself as he grips his hair.
