Khwezikazi.

My drive back home is long because of the traffic that leads back into the city, ontop of that there's construction on one of the main routes so its taking a lot longer than usual to get around. I left the office a little later than intended hence is why I am paying for it with traffic and the agonizing thoughts of Nkululeko's silence.

It's a little sad getting to hear that he's communicating with everybody else except for me. I knew that one day we would end things but I didnt expect for it to hit this much. Yes I tried to move on and be in the little moments of my new marriage and I was doing okay since France but now... now I'm at a bit of a cross road, mabye it's the attachment talking, mabye it's what's we've both been through that's making it so difficult to look past what we had, but I am moving on, I have to, he's left me no choice.

I park my car amongst our many many sports cars and I make my way up to the penthouse and I find the house already lit and the delicious aroma of well cook steak and jazz music playing in the background.

I walk Into the kitchen and I find him behind the counter and he's cooking his sanity away.

I was supposed to be home long ago, I remember as soon I get into the kitchen and he raises his head and he stares up at me.

I put my bags on the counter and I move to stand next to him as my heart start to pound In my ear.
Because he definitely doesn't look angry.

I am being thrown in the ocean again today.

"I'm so sorry, I lost track of time at the office."

"It's okay, you don't have to apologize Khwezi, these things happen."
He says and I pause as I start to evaluate him again.

"Why do you seem angry ?"

"I am not, I'm just annoyed, with work stuff."

"Why what happened ?"

"Our Cargo ships are being held at customs in the Uk and our clients have been on my ass since this morning."

"So does this mean you have to fly to the UK to fix this ?"

"No this sort of thing happens all the time, the UK customs is just being a bit unnecessary right now and I don't have the energy to deal with it right now, there's a global cyber hack that I need to be ontop of."

"Can I help in any way ? I know a lot about customary law, if their illegally holding back your ships I can chip in with my little legal experience."
I suggest and he smiles at me before he shakes his head.

"No I am good, but thank you."
He says and I smile at him too  before he now hands me my fixed plate and we sit down for dinner.

"How did lunch with Kabo go ?"
He asks and I look at him with a look that begs to ask how he found this out.

"Relax yourself, we were in a meeting with Siya when Kabo called really angry that her guards wouldn't give her more than five feet."
He says and I start to laugh again at the memory of that conversation.

"She's a real gem."
I say.

"Lunch was really nice, I enjoyed myself."
I tell him as I start to grow quiet at the memory of her mentioning her miscarriage.

"Did something else happen ?"
He ask as he leans back on his chair and he stares at me, waiting for me to fes up.

"We spoke about her losing her baby and it reminded me of a friend back home."

I start and I look away away him before I take a sip of my wine.

"She got pregnant at a young age and her parents had her baby taken away from her."
I simply say and his eyes turn soft and I look away from him again.
