Chapter 21 - Care.

Khwezikazi.

"Do you need me to get you a drink ? Anything ?"
He asks as he gently rubs my thigh and I stare at him again and I shake my head at him.

"Im okay, thank you."

"I just want to know if your okay."
He asks with soft eyes and a concerned look in his eyes on his bold features. This emotion looks so foreign on him it actually starts to scare me as i start to realise the state that I would have to be in for him to be this bothered about me.

I gently hold the bottom half of his face and I give it a gentle caress.

"This looks different on you."

"What does ?"

"The look of concern."

"That's probably because I am."

"Concern isn't really your thing Sanele."
He smiles at me a little before he starts to chuckle, dimples and beautiful eyes.

I can't explain to you how attractive and beyond beautiful I find him. He thinks i couldn't care less about any of this but i do and it makes me weak.

"Cant I care about somebody ?"

"Oh you can I know you can, I just didn't think that you can show it. You always try to hide that you can care about something."

"Because then people tend to take advantage of that and I don't like where people gain advantage where i can't."

I smile at him again and i nod my head at him.

"I like how you think."

He smiles at me again before he starts to look away again as one Moloi family friends now takes the stage.

I pull his face towards me again and I give it a small stroke.

"I'm really sorry if I scared you back there."
I softly say to him and his eyes soften up.

"Non of that matters anymore."
He says reassuringly and I give him a small nod too.

"I'm okay."
I tell him before he stares at me for a few moments almost as if he is trying to confirm something before he nods his head too.

"Okay."
He says looking away from me again and back at everybody else on our table as the program continues until its time we have something to eat and I don't eat because I had something back at the restaurant when we were stalling Kabo soon after we start to enjoy the party.

we are now seated at a couch setting where the rest of the family has settled and all of the couples are seated next to each other, either squeezing on love seats or cuddling on one of the couches as they all crack jokes amongst each other and reminisce although the only person sitting alone right now, is Mandla.

This us actually the first family event that Stacy has attended since church and I must say I love how everybody here is being super welcoming towards her and happy that she's fitting in just well.

"I'm going to go inside for a little bit I'll be back."
I tell Sanele who's deep in an a debate with his brothers as I now step out of the tent and I go into the house straight towards the kitchen to go and see if I can spot Anele and I find Olwethu instead who's looking into the fridge standing short infront of the plethora of food inside of it.

She takes something and she steps out of it and she finds me staring at her with a small smile on my face while she seems to try to sneak off with a piece of cake and she stops and she stares at the cake before she stares at me again.
