The group split up after their meeting in the tavern and found the rest of the Teardrop Crystals. Aether went to the Thousand Winds Temple and had to fight a Ruin Guard. Sying and Venti went to Dadaupa Gorge and talked the hilichurls into handing the crystal over. And Diluc and Jean had to navigate a domain to get theirs. Now, the group was at Dawn Winery outside of Springvale, to discuss their next move.
"Let's put our crystals together." Venti suggested. The group handed their crystals to the bard. "The color of these crystals looks muddy. Dvalin, you're going through so much pain. Let's start purifying these crystals first. Please, Aether." Aether nodded and purified the crystals for the Anemo Archon.
"It is hard to believe such a thing is possible, until you've seen it with your own eyes." Jean said.
"Interesting. It's like filtering wine. The process is refreshing." Diluc commented.
"I think we should have enough tears now. So next we use the crystals on the Holy Lyre like last time." Venti told them. Aether put the tears near the instrument, adding Anemo power to it. "The lyre's Anemo power seems fully restored. We should be able to use it now. It's all thanks to you, Aether." The bard spoke.
"Where should we summon Dvalin? It should be away from Mondstadt, so the citizens don't get hurt." Sying announced.
"The wind that blows at sea or in high places should be able to carry a bard's words far away. It's never going to work if the air is too dry or suffocating." Venti informed the adeptus.
"Starsnatch Cliff. That place would be perfect. It's far enough from Mondstadt, and meets the requirements." Sying agreed.
"Alright. Let's do it there." Venti stated.
"What a view!" Aether exclaimed, looking over the cliff's edge.
"Lovely for a fated reunion, isn't it?" Venti agreed. He turned his attention to the others. "Well, we must be prepared for a fight."
"Regardless of the outcome, things finally seem to be taking a turn for the better. Mondstadt has really been going through so much recently." Jean said.
"But in the end, the solution to our problem was as simple as a traveler and a song. I suppose the Knights of Favonius may have played a part in it too." Diluc admitted reluctantly.
"We get it, Diluc." Sying groaned.
"Everyone except Sying, please step aside! I, the best wandering bard of the mortal world, shall begin my performance with the Holy Lyre." Venti declared. The bard walked toward the cliff edge with the adeptus and strummed a few notes on his lyre before Dvalin appeared before them.
"You have come. What has been done cannot be undone." Dvalin stated.
"If so, then why do I see sadness in your eyes? Sadness that speaks of your yearning for this song?" Venti countered. Dvalin let out a low growl, thinking over the Archon's words. Suddenly, ice shot out from behind the dragon, hitting Venti's arm and breaking the lyre. Sying pulled out his sword as he stood in front of his friend protectively.
"No! Venti!" Aether shouted, running over with Diluc, and Jean. A Cryo Abyss Mage flew out from behind Dvalin.
"Do not be fooled by him, dear dragon. He left you to rot alone. Now he attempts to deceive you once more with the help of Celestia's traitor." The Abyss Mage announced.
"No, listen to me!" Venti pleaded.
"Barbatos! Astral!" Dvalin snarled.
"Let your wrath fester! Mondstadt has already turned its back on you!" The Mage continued.
"You! You were planning this all along? To have me slain by them?" Dvalin roared.
"It's not like that!" Venti argued.
"The time has come for the dragon to serve its true master, while you bewail your pathetic selves, and watch the world tremble with fear! Not even Astral can interfere!" The Abyss creature taunted them, flying away on the dragon's back.
"Dvalin..." Venti trailed off. Sying took one look at Venti's sad expression and ran in the direction the dragon went, determined to destroy the creature that hurt his friend.
A girl with short blonde hair and golden eyes stood on a cliff overlooking Stormterror's lair. That girl was Lumine, Aether's twin sister. Two Hydro Abyss Mages stood behind her, bowing. Dvalin flew over her, returning to his home. A Cryo Abyss Mage teleported in between the Hydro Mages.
"Your Highness, your humble servant returns." The Mage spoke. Lumine turned around, giving the Abyss creature a harsh glare. "When your homeland returns to this world, we shall revel in its glory."
