Yamagishi grew to be a civil servant, but this never bothered him. He worked hard and even maintained the same friendships from when he was a delinquent. He was occasionally teased as he was in middle school, but that no longer bothered him either. After all, he has someone waiting for him every day at home. Someone he can't wait to get back to every day.
"Yeah, we heard you got a wife, but she must be such a shameful little thing if she isn't even here at the company dinner." Yamagishi just smiled softly as the guy tore into him.
He found it funny that he assumed the woman he was talking with earlier wasn't his wife. "Gishi!" When Y/n stood by his side once again with her sunshine bright smile, he remained silent as the men stared at her, doing their best to seem attractive.
However, Yamagishi felt ecstatic that she was actively trying to talk to him while they were actively trying to talk to her.
"One second." She quickly asked the men to wait as she turned to Yamagishi once more. "The babysitter had called me. Yama is sleeping in his crib, but she has to go for a family emergency." The men stared in confusion as her smile brightened. "If we go back home, we can play that new video game you've been wanting to and I'll make your favorite snacks to make up for having to leave early."
He smiled just as brightly, sticking his arm out for her to loop hers with as they walked away. "I'm going home with my wife guys. See you at work on Monday." The satisfaction he felt at their wide eyes filled with disbelief was a close second to how he felt having Y/n in the first place.
"Have I told you how much I love you today, My Queen?"
Y/n gave him a confused look. "You only ever say that when I did something for you. I didn't do anything though."
Yamagishi pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "Not true. You married a Mizo mid member." She deadpanned.
"I'm going to pretend I understand why you said it that way and just say, okay." She kissed his cheek as they continued to walk off. "I love you too, My King. I'm not letting you beat me this time though. Just because you've been a gamer longer than me, doesn't mean I can't win."
Yamagishi chuckled. He would let her win, but seeing her pout when she lost, there's just no way. "Sure, My Queen."
