Angry's POV
Angry was fine, right? Not sick. Definitely not sick but why is it that every time Y/n comes around him, he feels like screaming. Crying. Blushing. Laughing.
DID SHE BREAK ME?!?!?
Of course, he knew if she had, she would never have done that on purpose and if she had, he wouldn't complain anyway. That's why he never actually ran away when she came to see him. He and his brother. Definitely not just him because....
He felt his shoulders slump a little.
Because that would be too much to hope for.
"Souya?" He felt her poke his cheek and jumped in surprise, only to throw up both hands like he had been caught trying to steal.
"I'm fine! I was just..."
"You were sad." He held eye contact with her, seeing her concerned features and suddenly feeling guilty. She poked his forehead this time. "I didn't mean I want you to feel bad about it, but if your heart is hurting, I want to help you!" When she smiled, he felt his cheeks heat up, unable to look away, even though he was still incredibly embarrassed to be around her after a full year.
"You wouldn't want to be around me anymore if you knew...."
"Souya, that isn't possible." Her expression was serious now and he felt tears well up. "I may not know what you're thinking, but I know you have a good heart. I'll be by your side as long as you want me to be."
His eyes seemed to focus too much on her choice of words. "When could I ever not want you to be?" His voice was an octave higher at the end of his sentence, but that didn't change the way his heart sped up.
Did I do something to make her think I didn't want her around always?
He clenched his fists as frustration built up. "I'll always want you here..." He whispered, uncertainty making his hands become sweaty and shaky.
"You could change your mind one day. And that's okay, you don't have to worry about.."
At her words, Souya stood up so fast, he caused her to jump in surprise. "No! That's not true! I won't ever change my mind and I'll marry you to prove how much I love you!" Souya's heart felt as though it came to a grinding halt as his words echoed in the living room. Tears built up in his eyes and wished his brother was here to do damage control, but Nahoya always left when Y/n came and Souya was always grateful until now.
He tried to steady his breathing as the tears fell. All he could do was focus on his feet as silence followed his declaration. He was ready to run to another country and change his entire identity when he felt her soft hands on his face, gently wiping away tear after tear. He didn't want to look at her out of fear. "Souya...I already knew you loved me. You don't have to marry me if it makes you uncomfortable. I only meant that feelings can change..."
Souya's eyes darted to hers as he blurted out, "Have yours?"
Seeing her smile softly as she continued to caress his cheeks. "Not even once."
"So how can you have faith in your feelings and not mine? I want to marry you because mine haven't changed either and...I love you..." Souya's words drifted into a whisper as her face drew closer to his, a smile of adoration over her features.
He almost panicked when he realized and stopped her. "Wait! I need a ring! I didn't do it right." When he felt tears build up once again as she pulled away from him, his mouth dropped open as she took a pen and drew his initials on her ring finger, doing her best to make it look like a ring with the utmost care. When she finished and smiled at him, flashing her newly designed finger, he forgot himself.
Every bit of fear.
Every bit of self hate.
Letting each bit fall to the floor as he moved first and kissed her gently. As he continued the kiss, he couldn't help but smile.
My first kiss is with Y/n!
