Hakkai's POV

I'm grateful for my sister. I don't know what's gotten into me. I can talk to tons of women. I have to. I'm a model. When Y/n comes into the room, it's like all of that goes out the window and I can't even think.

Which is probably why Yuzuha invited Y/n over again but using my phone!

"When will she be here? Is it a date? Well it can't be if she's coming while you're he..." As the words died on his lips, Yuzuha smirked, grabbing her purse and barely sliding into her shoes on her way out of his apartment.

"Good luck!" She called over her shoulder as his front door closed. He stood there wide eyed until he realized that not only was it a date his sister set up without his knowledge, but it was also something he wasn't prepared for at all. It's 9 PM and last minute.

He checked his phone for some details but she had deleted the messages, leaving him totally without a clue. He ran his fingers through his hair as stress began to overwhelm him. When he heard quick and panicked knocking at his door, he ran to it, flinging it open thinking it was Yuzuha. "How c..."

There you stood in pink bunny pajamas. If he wasn't already stressed, he would do more than stare at you like a creep. "Hakkai." You breathed out. It was only then that he realized you were sweaty and panting, as if you had ran all the way here. "Are you okay? You sounded so stressed."

Hakkai took in your appearance and your concerned voice. From the looks of it, you got out of bed and got here as quickly as you could just to make sure he was okay.

Just for me.

Hakkai fell to his knees in front of you, only causing you greater worry. "To be honest, it was Yuzuha who texted you. I've been wanting to but I was afraid you didn't care."

Y/n's POV

His words broke my heart and I wrapped my arms around him. Even though he was on his knees, he was still up to my neck like this. I pulled him close to my heart, leaning my head on top of his as I tried to speak. "Of course I care. I'm so sorry I haven't done a good job of showing it. I hope you'll forgive me."

Tears of relief ran down my cheeks as he returned my hug but I let out a surprised yelp as he suddenly picked me up as though I weighed nothing, making me cling to him at the sudden movement. It only took a moment of looking at his reddened face to realize I had actually wrapped my legs around him. "It's fine!" His words firm and I could tell he was embarrassed but not because he didn't like being close to me.

When he started to walk into his apartment with me in tow, I squeaked. "Wait! I can walk!"
