Chifuyu's POV

There's something Chifuyu couldn't understand. While it makes sense that Y/n was always a kind person, she was slightly different this time around. She responded in similar ways to how she did in the first timeline to meeting Toman, but it took way less time for her to trust them and to get past being flustered.

Chifuyu started thinking how great it would be if she did remember but also how painful it must be for her if she does and thinks everyone else forgot.

She still smiles but what if she is hurting like before?

No...that makes no sense....her smile is real, not like she is trying to hide tears....

Chifuyu threw his Shoujo across the room in frustration. "IF SHE REMEMBERS, THEN THAT MEANS I KEEP FREAKING OUT FOR LITERALLY NO REASON AT ALL!"

He sat straight, remembering their date coming up.

She didn't say it's a date though...so...does that mean it isn't? Knowing her, she probably doesn't even think it could be because why would anyone want her?

He let out a sigh.

I think it's harder talking to her because of the failures on my part. I want to do better but....whether she remembers or not...I want more than to owe her. I want to love her.

He checked his phone anxiously before jumping off his chair and running out the door.

I want to do things right. Even if she doesn't think it's a date.

Even if she does remember.

I want her to know my intentions haven't changed.

Girls like plushies and flowers, right?

Thinking of her sweet smile, he couldn't help but smile himself at the thought of seeing her and finally loving her.

As he hopped on his bike, he nearly fell off the thing almost as quickly as he sat down. "Hey! You haven't answered my calls. The hell???" Baji's rough voice cut through his thoughts and he froze in his seat.

I know we said to be honest but wouldn't Baji be mad if he knew I was distracted because of...

"You got a date with Y/n or something? You had the goofy smile or whatever that says 'I'm a dumbass' loud and clear." Chifuyu deadpanned , making Baji laugh out loud before quieting down, eyes changing ever so slightly as his voice lowered. "If she ends up with any of us but not me, I can't say I'd be mad. I'd be jealous as hell, but not mad." Baji combed his fingers through his hair.

Baji didn't get to know her before but it doesn't seem to matter. Maybe he loved her back then, too....

"I'd be happy if you both ended up together but hell yeah I'd be jealous." Chifuyu smiled at Baji. "It isn't 'may the best man win' in this case, is it?" Chifuyu and Baji sat in silence for a moment.

"Even still...I...li...I WANT HER AND I'LL TELL HER!"

Chifuyu started laughing at the sudden declaration, speeding off on his bike, leaving Baji to figure out how to proceed.
