I was beaten up and my heart was ripped out of my body. It was so painful that my head was pounding, and my brain was now shutting. There was blood everywhere. I was trying to speak and call someone for help, but my throat was slit and I was bleeding. Just when I couldn't take it anymore, I woke up. I was sweating like anything. My heart was pounding so fast that I was afraid I might get a heart attack.
This was one of many dreams that came and went by. I woke up every day, encouraging myself and looking at the beautiful women standing in front of the mirror, that it'll be okay. You're going to be fine. And I lived through that day.
I tried to calm myself. Quickly getting down, I poured myself a glass of water and chucked it down in one swift go. As soon as the cold liquid reached inside, my mind instantly cooled, sending message to my entire body to relax. It was 5:45am, too early to wake up for a non-morning person like me. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't. After tossing and turning in my bed for about an hour, I was finally able to sleep.

I knocked on her door twice before she opened it, as if she was waiting for someone. She looked all dressed up in a shimmery dress and make-up, ready to leave. Now who wears that on a Sunday evening?
"Where's the party?" I asked her, inviting myself in and sitting on her sofa, resting both my arms on either side of it. "Care to explain?" I asked, crossing my legs.
"I was coming to your place, to...to talk." She said, stuttering on the last part.
"Dressed like a walking disco light? Sure, sure." I said, mocking her. I can't imagine why on earth I decided to be her friend. Ever since she walked into my life, everything around me was ruined. No matter how hard I try to put everything together, she always has her way. I guess she's not the only one who should be blamed.
"Ca...can I sit?" she asked, standing in-front of me.
"Be my guest." I said and she sat almost two feet away from me. I opened my mouth to start torturing her again, but she started speaking before me.
"Mayank, you are judging a book by its cover. It's not always what you see." She sighed before getting up and walking to her French window which was facing her garden. It was beautifully decorated by fairy lights. I absentmindedly followed her league when she started talking again, this time in a much softer tone.
