You know that one person who you loved with your whole heart but they never noticed? The one who you secretly stole glances at. Their smile, their voice, their scent. Everything about them made you happy.
I had my version of that person a few years ago and I still recall how happy I felt around him even though he never knew.
Maybe he did and never showed it but what matters is that even without doing anything special he made me feel like the happiest person in the whole world.
What I forgot back then was that everything is temporary. Nothing stays forever because forever is a word that is meant for memories not for people.
That moment when you smiled, deep in my heart I knew that the wound you left would scar me forever. And see, I wasn't wrong.
I remember you every single time I hear that one song, that one foot item, that one particular scent.
I can't help it. You may be gone but the memory of you will always stay in my heart.
