(Y/n) pov

JJ and I woke up early to head to the nearest liquor store. It was at least a mile drive from where we currently live.

"Have I ever mentioned how handsome you look in that blue button up? The color almost matches your eyes.", I complimented him as we drove.

"Now that you mention it, no, you haven't but I appreciate it. Have I mentioned how beautiful you look, now even more beautiful that you're married to the hottest surfer on the Outer Banks?", he smirked.

"No but I bet that I look beautiful as hell.", I giggled as I kissed him on the lips.

We pulled away as we stepped out of the car and walked into the building, hand in hand.

"Hi, welcome in.", the cashier greeted bluntly.

We smiled awkwardly at them.

"(Y/n), is that you?", a familiar voice asked me.

"No way! Auntie Addy?! Hi!", I squealed as I ran up to her and hugged her.

"(Y/n), it's so good to see you! How are you? Last I heard, you had disappeared

"(Y/n), it's so good to see you! How are you? Last I heard, you had disappeared.", my aunt asked as she approached me.

We're not blood related but she was with Mark Sloan for a bit, the world renowned plastic surgeon and he was like an uncle to me so, by technicality, she's my aunt.

"That is a very long story for another day, Dr. Montgomery.", I chuckled, "how's everyone in Seattle? I heard that you and Bailey started your own clinic over there, congratulations.", I stated.

"Everyone is fine. Anyways, what are you in here for? Who's this fine young man with you?", she asked sternly.

"Well, for starters, I am married to this fine young man. Auntie Addy, meet-", I started.

"JJ Maybank, her husband, ma'am.", he introduced himself.

"Husband! Jeez, it's like I missed out on so much in your life, oh, that's wonderful. Do me a favor and keep me updated at least once in a while! We used to call like every day and then we just drifted apart, sweetheart.", she warned.

"I'm sorry, auntie Addy. My husband here is quite the troublemaker so I've been busy trying to keep him out of trouble but I promise, I'll call you more often!.", I reassured her.

JJ wandered around the store while my aunt and I caught up on each other's lives.

"You missed out on so much, (Y/n). It's terrible. Remember Dr. Torres? You and her daughter would always play together whenever you'd come to visit. Sure you were older than her but, you, Zola, and Sofia always had a blast!", she explained.
