I'm fucked.
I'm absolutely fucked.
All because of my cocky ass and some stupid bet.
I won't let him win, he's like five years younger than me. I won't let him beat me at MY game! Fist-to-Face is my thing!! He can go play some Prime Empire or Fortnite if he really wants.
No-one will beat me at my game.
Even if I'm two steps away from losing all of my lives; he still has all of them.
Since it's our day off, we decided to do a little tournament. We all agreed that in the finals, a bet must be made. You were probably expecting Jay or Cole to be taking this narrative, huh? Jay beat Cole and Zane beat Jay. That meant I had the higher ground.
I was certain that Zane would beat Lloyd.
I underestimated that kid.
So, I'm better at Zane in this game so I would've easily won the tournament if it wasn't for that bratty little child.
I am NOT losing this game to that little shit. HAHA! Got him!
He now has one life less.
I am NOT going to lose the game and I am NOT going to:
"If I win, you can't gel your hair for two months."
I WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN!! My hair MUST look the part! Without my beloved hair gel, my hair looks like a birds nest.
"Fine. But if I win, you have to sell three of your Starfarer comics." He furrowed his brows, deciding whether or not to make the deal.
"DEAL." We shook hands. There was no going back.
HA! He has another life less.
AND ANOTHER! I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND NOW BIT-
...aaand I'm on my last life. I really need to learn that everything can always get worse!
OH HOLD UP! HE'S ON ONE LIFE TOO!
Tension filled the room. Nothing was heard apart from our rapid heartbeats, heavy breathing and sound effects from the speakers.
This is it!
I got it!
I think I-
"GAME OVER!" The game bellowed. Everyone was watching. Everyone waited impatiently for the final results.
Me and Lloyd got up from our seats when the scores were revealed. We yelled in shock:
"A TIE??"
We looked at each other, stunned.
"You don't sell your comics, and I get to gel my hair?"
"Deal."
