Plasma - Glide with Me

It was a chilly winter day in Ninjago. The white fluffy snow was piling onto every flat surface and the temperatures dropped below zero. The ninja were having a snowball fight outside while Kai sat inside having a nice big mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream. One thing he hates more than water is winter.

He was sitting on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket, watching some TV. He was startled by a snowball which splatted onto the window beside him followed by laughter. 12-year-old Lloyd ran inside, covered in snow. His nose and cheeks were red from the cold, and his green bobble hat was covered in snow flakes. He ran into the living room and tugged on the blanket.

"Kai, come on!! You're missing out on all the fun!" he exclaimed enthusiastically. He grabbed Kai's arm with his bare hand.

"JEEZ, KID!" Kai yelled, recoiling away from the blonde boy. "You're hands are freezing!!"

"So? It's part of the fun that you're missing out on!"

"Nah-ah. I'm staying here, where it's nice and warm." Lloyd put his elbows on the arm of the couch and cupped his hands around his cheeks, staring at Kai, who's eyes were focused on the telly. Kai sighed, turned off the TV and directed his eyes at Lloyd. "What?"

Lloyd rolled over so that his back was on the arm of the couch. His hair flopped away from his forehead as he lay upside down. "Jay is out there~" Lloyd teased. Kai completely flushed. "I'm gonna tell him if you don't come outside~!" he said as he continued glaring at Kai.

"Huh- Uh- I-" the brunette stuttered. He huffed in defeat and threw the blanket to the side. He pointed at Lloyd in a scolding manner, "This is blackmail!" Lloyd's eyelids fluttered innocently over his emerald orbs as he let out a small giggle. "Fine. I'll go," Kai agreed reluctantly as he stood up to get ready to go outside into the freezing cold.

"YES!" Lloyd stretched his arms out and kicked his legs in victory before running outside again.

Kai put on his hoodie over his fleece long-sleeve top which was over his t-shirt. He put on a pair of thermal leggings under his joggers. He decided to wear three pairs of socks and a pair of normal gloves under ski gloves. Kai slipped on his red winter jacket and zipped it up fully before swinging his dark red scarf around his neck. He finished off his over-prepared winter outfit with his boots and a red bobble hat.

Despite his ridiculous amount of layers of clothing, he was able to move around properly. He stepped outside and the freezing air hit his face. The ninja were building snowmen.

"Let's give it a beard! Make it look like uncle Wu!" Lloyd exclaimed.

"Oh! Look who finally decided to join us!" Nya said, crossing her arms.

"Shut up..." Kai muttered as he put his hands in his coat pockets.

"Aw man! I just realised we forgot to buy the rest of the ingredients to make the gingerbread men!" Cole said.

Zane raised an eyebrow while Cole gave an encouraging nod. "Oh! Right... Uh... Jay, Kai, is it okay for you two to go to the supermarket to buy the rest of the ingredients?"

"Sure! Just send me the list!" Jay responded with a wink while Kai buried his face into the scarf he was wearing. Jay ran inside to get something while the others glanced at Kai, who was completely miserable because of the freezing cold.

"Do I have to go? It's cold, I- I'd rather stay inside," Kai complained.

Nya shrugged, "You were nominated."

Kai rolled his eyes and Jay ran out wearing a backpack. "Hey ho, let's go!" Jay yelled out excitedly while grabbing Kai's arm and headed out of the monastery gates.
