LILY'S POV

I have no clue where I'm going so I decided to wear something formal or smart-casual for the trip just in case. I packed another set of formal clothes, my pyjamas, underwear, etcetera.

Cole texted me that he'll pick me up at 11 in the morning, so I waited patiently for a knock on the door or a text to indicate that he's here. I checked through my bag over and over, making sure I didn't forget anything. I checked my phone. 11:01. He should be here soon.

I heard car tyres scraping against the gravel on my driveway. I looked out of my living room window and sure enough, it was Cole with some other guy. I came with my bag to the front door and opened it. Cole was clearly about to knock but tried to hide it by putting his hand in his pocket of his black jeans. He wore a black, satin, short-sleeve shirt to go along. It was untucked.

I was wearing an elegant, dark green sleeveless jumpsuit with a white cropped blazer. I had my hair up in a ponytail the same way I have it up for work. Cole's friend...? was the same height as him. He was just wearing some grey trousers with a white hoodie. He had beach blonde hair slicked back and icy blue eyes. He greeted me with a handshake, "Nice to meet you, I'm Zane."

I shook his hand, "Nice to meet you too, my name is Lily." We got into the black Ford and had a nice chat with Zane who turned out to be the Master of Ice. He dropped me and Cole off at the docks which I was really confused about.

"Please tell me that I didn't just put on my best outfit to go sailing..." I joked. Cole led me towards a red pirate ship with a dragon head at the front of it. He started walking backwards and swung his arms out as if he's giving a presentation.

"Welcome to the Destiny's Bounty! Also known as the Bounty for short. Please, if you could follow me up these steps to the bridge and then we can set course to Shintaro!"

I raised an eyebrow as I was helped onto the wooden ship. "That mythical place?"

"Oh, no no no... It's real alright. I've been there before, actually. Crazy ninja story. Once we set off, I'll explain the whole thing."

"I've never been on a ship like this... what if I'm sea sick?"

Cole laughed as he went over to the controls, "Trust me, that won't be a concern." He pressed this red button and the boat's engine started, almost making me tumble over. I laughed and then looked over the edge to see that we were going... up?

"Are we fucking flying?" I laughed even harder.

"Ding ding ding!" Cole pressed the autopilot button and we were heading towards Shintaro. Soon enough, we were far enough to see the entire Ninjago City. I watched my city shrink into nothing as we got further into sea. I turned to Cole, who grabbed a crate and sat next to me he started telling me about his adventures in Shintaro.

He explained how they were invited for princess (now queen) Vania's birthday, how her dad was the skull sorcerer, how he met the Lowly (now known as the Uply), the munce and the geckles.

I gazed in awe as the mythical Ivory City emerged from the clouds; its tall white buildings with golden accents towering over the mountains, "Woah," I chuckled. "It's beautiful," I complimented.

"Not as beautiful as you." I turned around to see Cole sitting on the crate, his elbows on his knees and head leaning on his hands which were cupped around his cheeks. He big brown eyes were staring into mine instead of Shintaro. He had a huge smile across his face as he stared. I broke eye contact to continue admiring the view which I may never see again. I'll be seeing Cole for the rest of my life - I'll get more than enough of him, alright.
