Monday.

Hay naku! Monday na naman!

Sue sighed after hearing her alarm clock. It's already 7:00am and she needs to get ready for her 9:15am work. She works as an HR Assistant in the leading hardware company in the country, Ace Hardware.

She's based in Naga City since she didn't want to relocate in Manila because traffic sucks! She arrived at 8:57am at the mall, yes she's always early, then clocked in at 9:00am.

"Good morning, maam!" One sales clerk greeted her as he passed by her office.

"Hi! Morning!" Sue waved. She's the most cheerful, funny, and witty person you can meet that's why she has a lot of friends and people usually likes her. Not to mention she's really smart.

She's Sue Alaine Perez Gonzales, 21 years old from Naga City. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Ateneo de Naga University with a degree of BS Psychology. Sue always wanted to be a broadcast journalist but her cousins discouraged her telling her  she's not gonna land a stable job after graduation. So she took Psychology, she said she wants to work in a school setting as Guidance Counselor.

"Hi maam!" Shie, the store's treasury assistant greeted her. They share the same office.

"Hi Ma'am Shie!" Sue greeted back. "Monday na naman! Jusko! Nakakatamad!"

They shared a good laugh.

Usually, their Monday is busy since they will be catching up with work since Sundays are rest days. It was already 12 noon when Sue noticed the time. She asked Shie and their other friends at the warehouse where to eat lunch.

At 3pm, Sue usually finishes her work for the day. She just spent her time talking and eating with Shie and the people at the store. They usually exchange funny stories about their bosses or fan facts about themselves. But today was different, a woman in her late 20s came to the store with two men wearing a usual black polo. They were looking for Sue.

"Ms. Sue Gonzales?" The woman approached the door of the office.

"Yes?" Sue smiled.

"I'm Carrie Salazar. I work for the President. He wants to have a word with you." The woman said.

Sue halted. "President? Sino— as in President? Malacañang ganon?"

Carrie nodded. "The President. PBBM."

Sue instantly felt anxious. Is she gonna die? Is she being abducted? What is happening????! "Uh seryoso po ba? Baka po joke joke lang 'to?"

Carrie smiled. "No, Ma'am. Gusto ka po nyang makausap sa Malacañang mismo. Pinapasundo nya po kayo."

Sue didn't know what to do. She can feel her heart beats racing. "Um nasa work po kasi ako—"

"Don't worry maam kasi informed na po si sir JIO regarding this. Si Presidente po mismo ang tumawag sa kanya." Carrie cut her off.

"JIO??? As in Jimmy Ong?? Yung President ng company??" Sue couldn't believe it.

Carrie nodded.

Then, the store manager and store supervisor came in. Sue had an opportunity to confirm the news. "Sir, from Malacañang daw po sila. Pinapasundo daw po ako?"

Bernard, the Store Manager nodded. "Katatawag lang saakin ni Ma'am Nancy saka ni Ma'am Melissa, confirmed daw ito. Si Sir JIO daw mismo ang nag relay sa kanila." Nancy and Melissa are the company's VP for Business Unit and VP of HR respectively.

Sue froze. Her mind turned blank after hearing those things. She slowly went to the locker area and unlocked her locker. She slowly get her sling bag and faced Carrie. "Okay." She almost whispered.
