"Sophia!" Ava's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I blinked, looking at her. "Oh, why?" I asked, trying to focus on the conversation.

"You're not listening! I asked if it's okay with you that Liam and Mia are here?" Ava repeated, her eyes filled with concern.

"Of course!" I replied without hesitation. I could see the surprise in Ava's eyes, but I just shrugged.

"Yes, even after what they did. But don't worry, the words 'Liam' and 'cheater' are still next to each other in my mind!" I added with a smile.

"Really?" Ava asked, her eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Yes!" I confirmed, my smile not wavering. "Why are you so happy today?" Ava asked, her tone curious.

"I'm already in a healthy relationship," I confessed, my cheeks flushing slightly at the admission.

"What?! And I didn't know about this?" Ava exclaimed, her surprise evident.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, feeling a bit guilty for not telling her sooner.

"Okay, okay, but with who?" Ava asked, her curiosity piqued.

"With Aaron," I revealed, my heart fluttering at the mention of his name.

"The badminton player from high school? For real?" Ava asked, her eyes wide with surprise.

"Uh-huh, here he is!" I said, gesturing to Aaron who had just walked into the room.

"Hi, love," Aaron greeted me, his eyes filled with warmth.

"Wow, am I invisible here?" Ava joked, pretending to be offended.

"No, you're not invisible, Ava. I just didn't see you because Sophia here is shining in the crowd," Aaron teased, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Ahh, alright, I'm leaving. Who here has a crush on me? Flirt with me, please!" Ava said, making us all laugh.

"Also, love, I rolled my eyes at both of them. I saw them, eww," Aaron told me, making a face.

"Really?" I asked, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Yes! Like this," He demonstrated, rolling my eyes dramatically. We both laughed at my antics, the tension from earlier completely forgotten.

"Come on, let's eat?" I suggested, my stomach growling in agreement.

"Sure, I'm so hungry!" Aaron agreed, his arm wrapping around my shoulder as we walked towards the food. Despite the drama, the night was turning out to be quite enjoyable.

And I had Aaron by my side, making everything even better.
