ADARSH'S POV

She asked me about mom today. It hurt. Even if I think of good moments..they hurt like thorns. I wish she stops these interviews...my emotions have started betrayaling me. And she knows this.
She is something
She is different
Her eyes make me want to trust her.

Next Morning.

The room smelled like alcohol. Kashvi walked fast. No one else came in the room. There was no camera today. There was no table today..just chairs facing each other. She wore pestal pink top with 3/4th sleeves with white trousers.

"Lets not waste anytime today. I have only one hour with you. I need to know everything"

"Why do you think I would tell anything?"

I smirked. She made a irritated face

"Oh pls! None of that crap. Tell me everything about your family".

"Dad was my couch. Mom has passed away. I am adopted. Thats it."

"Dad kaha hai?"

"He left India 3 months ago."

"Why?"

"I made him leave. I wanted to commit murders"

I said plainly.

"Tum 3 months se murder plan kar rahe the?"

"No. Just 1 week. I am in jail since 1 month remember. Let me make it simple. I planned to murder them. I sent Dad away...in 2 months I killed 3 people."

She stared at me for my unfiltered confession. I pulled my chair closer to her. Our knees touched. She silently observed my actions. I leened forward to me as she had on our first meet. As if there was no difference between us..As I wasn't a man and as if she wasn't a woman.
I got close to her chest. She looked down at me. There was a finger's difference between her and me. I looked into her button. I knew from the very beginning that it wasn't a button..it was a mini camera. She was recording everything.

"This is the confession the either state needs to believe. I am not their idol. I am not the Sportman they loved on screen. I am a murderer. I am a criminal."

I said clenching my teeth. I could see Kashvi's chest move up and on. I looked up at her as she was looking down at me. These were the inches worth giving into.
I placed my hands on her chair near her lap.

"Don't go in the darkness Kashvi. It will consume you. Some things are better when hidden."

"See you tomorrow. Outside. Breathing the city's air."

She wispered. She slightly touched my arm to tell me move away. I moved back. She got up.
Wait.
What does she mean by city's air?

"What do you mean?!"

"You'll know"

She said confidently. Which does not look good to me. She turned her back to me and was about to walk away. I held her arm and pulled her back.

"Adarsh"

She said looking shocked at my hand gripping hers.

"What did you do Kashvi?"

"You can't touch me Adarsh, interviewer hu main tumhari!"

"I fucking don't care. What did you do? Kuch kiya hai tumne...saaf likha hai shakal par."

"Ha kiya hai! Tumhare bhale keliye kiya hai! Leave my hand now"

"Mera bhala decide karne wali tum ho kon? Listen Kashvi...whatever you have done..Undo it!"

"I won't"

She said clenching her jaw.
Suddenly there was a sound. We looked towards the door to notice a fire in the room. The fire spread all around the room.

"Aaag!"

Kashvi yelled. She was no more concerned abt me holding her hand.

"Aaag kaise lagi?"

I said.

"The room was smelling like alcohol when I walked in."

"Yes exactly I smelles that too! This is planned."

I explained to her. She wasn't looking as she was before. He was restless.

"Someone is trying to kill you Adarsh! We must run!"

She said coughing from the smoke. I searched for outlets in the room. I looked at Kashvi once in a while. She was breathing heavily.

"Are you okay Kashvi?"

I asked walkinh towards her. She turned to me to answer. Her eyes were red. She was rubbing her chest.

"I...I'm....scared...of fir..fire"

She was barely able to speak. She started coughy too much. I rubbed her back.

"Aaraam se aaram se. Breathe"

"There is something wrong with you. Kya ho raha hai tumhe?"

"Pann..panic...attack"

She said almost falling down. I held her hands and pulled her towards me. It was better she didn't stand. I sat down on the floor with her on my lap. Her eyes were flowing continuously. She was mumbling somethings.

"Aaa...hellpp..."

"Relax Kashvi"

"Maaaa!"

She tried to yell.

"I am here Kashvi, you are safe. Bass hogaya. Keep your eyes open"

"Adarsh..."

"Haa main hoon yahi hu"

I said desperately trying to comfort her.

"Pls Adarsh...I don't want to die..plss.."

"You won't. I promise you"

She kept saying my name. I pulled her into my arms and hugged her to comfort her. She fisted my shirt tightly.
We heard sounds near the door. Someone was trying to break the door

"Miss Sen!"

Gopinath yelled

"Hurry up! She is fainting! Help!"

I yelled back. The door broke open. I picked Kashvi up in my arms. She gripped my hoddie tighter.

"Adarsh...mmyy head."

"It'll be fine. I promise. Keep your eyes open!"

I took large steps and took her towards the jail's doctor room. Gopinath and others were just following, no one tried to stop me. That was wise of them. Gopinath opened the dr's room's door. He looked at me and just nodded in agreement of my actions. I lay Kashvi down on the bed. As soon as her body parted from mine, She held my hand tightly.

"Uska haath chodo, mujhe check karna hai usse."

"Apko aise hi check karna padega. Jab takk woh nahi chodti, main uska haath nahi chodne wala hu."

I instructed him.

"Bohot dhua naak mein gaya hai, she coughed alot. She is under a panic attack...I think she is recovering right now..She is calmer"

Doc gave her a sleeping pill which did not seem a good diagnosis to me. I was sent back in the jail.
Flashs for her struggling kept coming back to me. Jailor just passed by and I stopped him.

"Sir sir! Kashvi...Kashvi kaisi hai?"

"Miss Sen theek hai. Gharpe hongi."

"Main baat kar sakta hu? Aap usse phone kar sakte hai?"

He sensed my desperation. He accompanied me to the washroom and secretly called Kashvi.
