KASHVI'S POV

"We shouldn't leave him alone like that"

Deki said. But I knew it was best.

"Aap aisa kaise bol sakte ho usko? Ki woh kayar hai? He was hurting, he saw no other way to stop hurting"

Swami said to Deb uncle

"Jo insaan apni hi jaan lena chahe usse aur kya kahenge?"

Deb uncle argued.

"Suicidal, depressed, in need of help!"

Swami protested back.

"We should be with him right now, right Kashvi, lets go guys"

Deki suggested.
I knew he'd want to see me...as much as he'd hate to see me. I didn't say anything, just followed them.
The door was open, he was sitting on the bed, facing the door. Deki approached him, caressed his shoulder, he kept looking down.

"You burst out downstairs. Is there more you wanna say Adarsh? "

Deki was being as helpful as she could be.

"A lot"

I knew he knew I was there even if he didn't lookup

"Oh, get it all out. Keeping your feelings buried is very unhealthy"

She said

"And you know where your buried feelings get you bro.."

Swami said to Adarsh as if it was something between them.

"Both of you, leave."

We weren't sure which pair was the both here...

"Mujhe Kashvi se baat karni hai, akele mein"

His tone was tough like a rock!

Both of them left. Swami gave me look of everything-will-be-fine. Yeah! Maybe! If I get out of this room alive!

He lifts his eyes and looks at me. Just anger in his eyes.

"Why did you do it?"

I was figetting with my fingers like a school child

"Because your dad asked me to"

"So you left your home that love so much, the fiancee you are soooo loyal to, for a man you never met in your life and a criminal who fucked you and left you five years ago....Is that right?"

This bitch's sarcasm! He made me look so ridiculous in my own eyes right now. That hurt.

"Your father asked for my help!"

I immediately responded trying to sound reasonable

"So bending over your back to help a Dasgupta is probably your hobby. U should add that to your resume."

Does he watch lot of American or British teen sitcoms? That tone is sooo teenager-ish.
Tbh that Chandler Bing sarcasm hurts..

I didn't answer, just looked down, not wanting to look at him.

"Tell me the real reason you did it"

"I needed money. He was gonna pay me 5 lakh if you come and 2 lakh even if you don't. With my dad give me the firm and retiring...I needed"

He made a confused disappointed.
He made a sarcastic mocking now before opening his mouth again!

"Wow. Kashvi Sen fell so far. Never thought I'd see this. I mean falling far for some guy you slept with may sound reasonable but because your dad's retiring---"
