"So, how do you think they'll handle it?" Michael asks, standing in front of the mirror, for once dressing up. There was a sort of movie-thing that they were invited to. Maddie and I were going too, and I had convinced Michael to wear something else than bandshirts. So, I got him to wear a black button-up shirt.
"Who?" I ask, Michael turning around to face me. I slightly laugh as he messed up with the buttons, me walking over as I re-do them.
"Luke and Maddie. You think they can handle a baby already?" he asks as I finish up his shirt. I still had to get my dress on
"I do. At least I know Maddie is. She's always wanted to be a mom, and she's been at her mom's job so many times that she knows what to do. And that she gets to do it with Luke is probably a dream come true."
"I wonder what Luke thinks right now though," Michael says, walking over to sit on his bed while I take out my dress. "I mean, I know he's happy that he gets to have a family with her, but I'm not sure either of them realize how hard it's going to be. I mean, I underestimated how hard it was going to be on tour without you. I can't imagine if it was a kid." I sigh, stripping off my sweatpants and Michael's shirt. I take on the dress, it was a long elegant black dress that hugged my curves perfectly.
"Could you zip it?" I ask Michael as I turn my back to him. Luckily, he doesn't joke around and say that it can't go any further down. He instead zips it all the way up, leaving a kiss on my shoulder. When we come downstairs, Maddie is sitting on a barstool with a bowl of something. It looks like some pasta. "Aren't you getting dressed?" I ask her. She just looks at me, then pointing down her body to her black skinny jeans and a green button up shirt with a slight blue in it.
"And them I'm wearing my leather jacket over it," she says, mouth filled with food. I roll my eyes, I shouldn't have expected her to wear something nicer either.
"Why did I even think you were going to dress nicer?"
"I have no idea," she laughs, sitting down the bowl, that I had a feeling she had eaten in less than two minutes. "I mean, I never wear dresses."
"Well, I think we have to get going," Ashton say, placing his hat on his head, looking at all of us. "I mean if the knocked up girl is finally full."
"Haha, very funny Ash," Maddie says, jumping down from the stool she was sitting on. "I'm not that pregnant yet. I just threw up all of the food I had earlier."
"Yeah yeah, same same," he says, waving it off.
"Don't make me go all pregnancy hormones on you," she teases, making him shut up. She was just slightly glaring at him, making him look all frightened. I mean, I bet no one really knew if she could suddenly explode with pregnancy hormones, even if she was just kidding.
"Good luck bud. You're gonna need it," Ashton says, padding Luke's back, who rolls his eyes.
"I still can't believe that the youngest of us is the one to have a kid," Calum speaks up.
"As in, the youngest in the band or in this house."
"If you think about it; both," he says, slightly rolling his eyes. "As long as I don't have to be up 4 hours a night because the baby is screaming, I don't mind."
"We're going to be at Maddie's with that, Cal," Luke says. "Even though this would be the best place to grow up, with you guys, it's not the place to have a baby. But we're going to take it as it comes."
"You can't really do anything else than that," I say, Michael wrapping his arms around my waist. "I mean, if I know you right, planning ahead like that is just going to cause you a lot of stress."
