It had been about 10 days since the boys left for tour, and I was as always a mess the first two weeks or so. I mean, I went to work and smiled at people, but then it was home, taking on a pair of sweatpants I stole from Michael, and then just watch Supernatural on the couch for the hundredth time.
Unhealthy is switched out with fruit snacks and stuff like that though, so I don't feel that bad about it. Maddie had left with the guys on tour, as they were flying to Australia for a few concerts and they had to tell his parents, and wanted it to be face to face. So, that was basically the only chance they had. "I don't think I've ever seen you being such a mess just after ten days away from a boy," Mia says, taking a strawberry in her mouth.
"You got it all wrong," I laugh. "It's the first two weeks where I'm all down and a mess, but then it becomes better after that. As in, I don't lie around all day when I'm not at work, I actually go do stuff." Mia laughs, rolling her eyes, sitting up.
"Well, we should do something else than watching Supernatural all the time," she pouts.
"Tomorrow," I say, pointing my fork with a piece of apple on it, before putting it in my mouth. I then hear a knock on the door, me groaning as I stand up and make my way to the door, opening it. Outside is a mail-delivery guy.
"Eleanor Green?" he asks, and just nod. "I have a package for you. Sign here, please?" he asks, me smiling. I skim over it to make sure he's not making me sign some weird contract - Michael told me this one time where someone wanted an autograph on what was a marriage contract so I don't trust these things anymore. After I sign it and hand it back, another guy comes up, making my jaw open.
It's a freaking 7 or 8 foot huge teddy bear. He carries it inside, both Mia and I staring it. "Thanks," I say, tipping the guy a few bucks, still staring at it. I quickly find a note on it, opening it.
I know it's only been 8 days (maybe more when you get this) but I just want you to know that I miss you and I love you.
xx Mikey
"Awwwwwww," I say, feeling butterflies in my stomach, showing it to Mia.
"That is the cutest," she says as I try to lift it over to the couch. I set it down, immediately cuddling myself into it. I hate to admit it, but this was almost better than Michael, he's not as soft and fluffy as the teddy bear.
He did warm me with his body heat and the sound of his heartbeat help me fall asleep, but the teddy bear is definitely softer. "Should I leave you guys alone?" Mia laughs, me throwing a blueberry at her that ended up splashing all over my white wall, leaving a purple mark. Mia stares at it, then back at me before we both laugh.
"I'll clean it up later."
"It'll leave a stain if it dries." I groan, standing up, pouting as I have to leave the giant teddy bear on the couch. I grab a cloth, making it a bit wet before I wipe it off the white wall. Meanwhile Mia has cuddled herself into the teddy bear. "Get. Of."
She giggles uncontrollably as I run over, trying to get her off. But she resists and uses her weight to keep her down. Not that she's heavy, she's not at all, but I am not strong either. "Where. Is. Maddie. When you. Need her," I say, trying to get her off the teddy bear. I pout, ending up lying down with Mia, hugging the bear. "He's mine," I pout. Mia laughs.
"It's really comfortable," she smiles. "You sure you're okay with... you know, Michael being away all the time?" I sigh, looking at my fingers that were caressing the teddy bear's stomach.
"I don't know," I say. "I mean, I love him and being with him otherwise makes me forget all about it. But it's so hard, like, you wouldn't even know. I could lose my cool in two days, or in thirty years. It's all just... confusing. Not being able to be with him like you usually can when you're in a relationship."
