Later in the evening, after sending Jacob a message, he promptly responded. Without hesitation, the girl proposed going out that night, and the boy agreed instantly. Elara began preparing for their one-on-one, anticipating that tonight, alcohol would be her companion. Opting for comfort, she dressed in a black cropped turtleneck, baggy black jeans from Berksha, and an oversized black hoodie from the men's section, complemented by Air Forces and a small black shoulder bag.

Her makeup routine remained unchanged, featuring a black waterline, long lashes coated in mascara, and her usual base. Choosing not to dress to impress, she focused on getting her curls in place while sipping on pink gin with lemonade.

Swiftly unlocking her phone, she eagerly replied to Jacob's new direct message.

👤JacobElordi: give me your number so we don't have to use Instagram to message.
👤JacobElordi: please

she sighed and decided to give in, using the excuse of him being her new co-worker as she began typing out her response.

👤Elara: here you go.

Receiving a message from an unknown number, it read: btw, I invited the guy who will be playing Oliver - his name is Barry.

Displeased, Elara changed the unknown number to 'Jacob Elordi (Felix).' Instead of typing a response, she opted for a quick and efficient acknowledgment by hearting his message.

Content with her preparations and now on her fourth glass of pink gin and lemonade, Elara found her Uber waiting outside. Turning off all bedroom lights but leaving the hall lights on, she exited her apartment, took the elevator, and stepped into her Uber for the evening.

Wearing a pout on her lips, Elara let out a sigh. She knew she had to tap into her acting skills and spend the evening pretending to like this guy. While acting was her job, she couldn't shake the discomfort of being fake. After a 20-minute ride, they finally arrived at the pub..

Approaching the familiar bouncers, Elara couldn't help but notice the cute blonde among them, someone she had seen before.

"You've seen my id before but I'll show you it again

she giggled and accidentally showed him the wrong side whilst he checked.

Whoops, I gave it to you on the wrong side" she confessed

He flipped it over and had a look.

"This place is like crazy expensive" she began rambling

"Like Crazy expensive" he responded in a teasing manner

"Yeah, once this time a drink I got was 12 dollars, a rip off! Back home I could get this drink for £6!" She responded

Before the bouncer could respond, a clearing of the throat grabbed both their attention. Turning around, Elara was met with the face of all her problems – him.

"Hello, hope I'm not interrupting anything" His eyebrow raised, jaw clenched, and his deep voice resonated with a thick Australian accent.

Nodding her head in greeting to Jacob, Elara bid her favourite bouncer goodbye and walked inside. Jacob observed her, noting signs that she had a few drinks, just like he did. Awkwardness filled the atmosphere between them..

" How have you been?" he asked, hoping to ease the awkwardness between them..

"Um I've been good thanks, how have you been?"
