It was a few hours after Odin disappeared like my Mom did.
I wasn't really happy to go back to school, but I was kinda bored of spending weeks killing and decapitating Magnus.
Sam and Shel left an hour after Odin did.
I hung out with Magnus for a bit before kissing him goodbye and heading back to my room.
I opened my wardrobe and, whoop-dee-do!
My stuff was already packed-up and some robes for me to change onto sat folded on the deep green suitcase.
A small symbol of Loki sat on the bottom corner of it. I stared at it for a moment.
I couldn't believe that for my second, big mission...I had to deal with my Mom, of all the people, again. I wouldn't mind getting to slice him with my garrote, though. Just a little bit. Then, Magnus could finish him off.
What was even crazier is that Odin aged me and Magnus up by a year. Now we were seventeen.
Something I never thought I could be, ever.
I pulled the suitcase out and rolled it to the front of my door. I looked at my clock and saw that it was only a few hours before midnight.
I still had some time to kill. So, I took a nap.
...
...
...
I yawned widely and realized I had turned into a cat at some point. I turned back to human and rubbed my eyes.
I felt something was wrong and then, it hit me. It was the lack of nightmares. Considering the events of today, it was odd.
Surprisingly, that was even more unsettling.
I checked the time again and it was somewhere around twelve so, I got up and changed into some jeans and a light-green polo-shirt.
I picked up the robes on top of the suitcase and shoved it inside.
I grabbed the handle of the suitcase and opened my door.
BAM!
I sat on my butt, rubbing my forehead.
Across me sat an annoyingly handsome blonde guy doing the same thing.
"C'mon, this is the second strike!" I said, getting up and dusting my jeans.
"M'sorry," Magnus said, a puppy-like look on his face.
Dammit.
"It's okay, we should get going now," I said, messing up his hair, which was easy as I was a whole half-a-head taller than him.
He shoved my hand away, his ears red and mumbling,
"Yeah, let's go."
He took the handle of my suitcase and walked towards the elevator.
I noticed that he wore the jacket that I got for him with a yellow t-shirt and a pair of dark jeans. He had his hair in a manbun.
I smirked and caught up with him. I held his hand and smiled even wider.
Honestly, every second spent with him felt like I won the lottery.
With a ding, the elevator opened and the rest of floor
19 stood there.
TJ raised an eyebrow at the suitcase and asked,
"Is this a honeymoon period for you two, or something?"
Magnus began to blush all the way from his forehead to his chest, which I never knew was even possible.
I laughed and said, grimly,
"Nope, we gotta murder my sweet, loving Mother. Again!"
Halfborn grunted and said,
"Again? And, we aren't invited?"
I shrugged,
"Good 'ol AllFather's instructions."
"Well, good luck. Keep Magnus alive, Alex," Mallory teased as the three got out of the elevator.
"Hey! I'm the healer," Magnus yelled, smiling.
We got into the elevator and pressed the button to get to the lobby.
We stood in awkward silence for a while before I said,
"Nice bun. And buns."
I glanced downwards. (Incase u don't get it, he means his ass lmfao.)
Magnus blushed redder than a tomato and looked away, gripping my hand harder.
Suddenly, I felt a small change. It was subtle.
Magnus looked at me for a moment before opening his mouth,
"She?"
I nodded.
"Are you a psychic or something, how do you always know that?"
He smiled, looking sorta proud.
"Ca-can I kiss you?" He asked, suddenly.
I blushed.
It was one thing to do it out-of-the-blue, but asking just made it...hotter.
"Yes," I didn't even hesitate.
I put my arms around him and we kissed. We stayed that way for about...
Ten.
Fifteen.
Twenty seconds.
Then, the elevator dinged and we pulled away immediately. It was a good thing we did, dozens of vikings poured into the small elevator and I got shoved into one corner, leaning against Magnus.
Considering I was taller than him, his nose poked my neck and he wrapped his arms around me.
The elevator dinged and we reached the lobby.
Magnus let go of me and took my hand. He led me towards the door, while shoving some vikings out of the way.
We walked all the way to the entrance to Hotel Valhalla. This was the first time we'd used it since coming here.
I let go of his hand and put an arm over his shoulder,
"Are you sure this isn't an excuse to give you an education, or something?" I said, whispering in his, now pink, ears.
He shoved my face away and said,
"I feel like it's more so an excuse for you."
"C'mon, you're dumber than me. Didn't you propose to me in front of my mom and thousands of peopl- wait, no. I meant giants."
He stopped in his tracks and grinned,
"Aren't you ever gonna let that go?"
I smirked, shaking my head and crossing my arms.
"Letting go blackmail is like letting go your heart, you're probably gonna regret it."
He laughed.
That made me happy.
Wait.
No.
Wait.
We're together.
I can feel that way without being guilty.
Yes!
No stop, why am I so giddy?
I blushed and looked away from him.
I felt a hand grab mine and looked down at Maggie's short figure,
"Hey, aren't we gonna be late for school?" He said.
"Yeah, let's get going-"
BOOM!
Out of nowhere, a ginormous, two-storey, blue bus appeared in front of us.
A guy who seemed to be in his twenties and had scars from picking off pimples stared at us,
"Ey! Magnus Chase and Alex Fierro, innit?"
Magnus nodded.
"Well, 'en! Let's ge' goin' then, ey?" He yelled.
I stared at Magnus and he nodded. He began to hand our luggage to the guy and after some scuffling and some "CRIKEY!"s, we found a place to sit and sat down.
Surprisingly, the bus had no seats. It only had beds.
I sat with my back to Magnus' and leaned against his nack.
The guy glanced over at us and shouted,
"Bi' late for school, innit? Ye dun seem like a Brit, either!"
I glanced over at Magnus to see what we were gonna say to him.
He mouthed,
"Don't look at me!"
I whispered,
"You're the one with the smart 'cuz!"
He sighed.
"Uh, yep. We're transfer students from Boston. We got the notice a tad bit later, it was more of the school's blame," He said.
"Are you really blaming the school for your own tardiness, Magpie?" I said. I didn't know where the nickname came from, but I liked it.
Magnus kept a straight face, but his ears were red.
The guy grabbed onto a pole and yelled, again,
"Well, doub' Hogwarts' ever made a mis'ake! Musta been 'cuzza you!"
We kept an awkward silence for the rest of the ride. Finally, the bus stopped.
And, boy, was I glad.
The second it started to move, I realized I was gonna hate it.
It was as fast as lightning and kept making me fall all over Magnus, not that I already was. Figuratively.
At some point, Magnus chuckled and wrapped his arms around me and stopped me from bouncing around like a human ping-pong ball.
I stumbled out of the bus and laid on the grassy ground.
Magnus jumped out and rolled our luggage towards us, he smiled and said,
"Mind if I fix that?"
The nausea was so strong that I nodded.
He put a hand on my stomach, which made me blush. I mean, there's so many other parts of my body he could've touched, instead.
Wait, no. That sounds even worse.
The sickness faded away as his hands glowed and he moved it away.
"Sorry, I should've told you I had to touch your...tummy" He said.
I snorted.
"Tummy? Maggie, oh Maggie, are you twelve(👁️👄 👁️ Author is insulted.) or something?" I asked, laughing.
He blushed and rubbed his neck.
"Anyways, we're here," He said.
I stood up and looked around.
We were in some sort of a football field, except, it was larger with some poles that looked like the stuff we used to blow bubbles with on either end.
"Wait, are they flying?" Magnus yelled, looking up.
I didn't even know how he saw them. Two guys on a broomstick were flying on top of us, passing a ball to eachother. They heard Magnus and one of them yelled,
"Who in the bloody hell are those people?"
They both flew down and immediately pulled out two sticks.
I held up my hands in surrender and told Magnus, audibly,
"Hey, handsome with the smart 'cuz! Explain who we are!"
"Alex!"
I looked the two strangers up and down.
One was a bit similar to Percy, except his eyes were more green and he had a lightning-like scar.
Cool.
The other was taller and skinner, he was a redhead with a long nose with freckles all over it and brown eyes.
I turned to the guy with the scar while Maggie stammered in an attempt to make an excuse,
"Cool scar, dude!"
He looked taken aback.
"Are you two Americans?" The redhead asked.
I turned to look at him and he said,
"Cool eyes!"
"Thanks?" Magnus turned to look at me since I spoke in a surprised voice.
"Huh?" He asked.
"Nothing, he just complimented me. Which, I have just realized, you rarely do," I replied, smirking.
"Okay, uh. Well, I'm Ronald Weasley, call me Ron," Redhead said.
I put an arm around Magnus and pointed at myself,
"Alex Fierro at your service, this short guy over here is Mango Cheese!"
Magnus blinked blankly for a moment.
Then, he realized what I said. He flicked my forehead and said, somehow confidently,
"I'm Magnus Chase, don't listen to this brocoli over here."
I faked offence and poked his cheek while saying, in a dramatic-tone;
"Why, how could you say that about me? We're done, Maggie!"
He grinned and looked at Scar-Man,
"What's, uh, your name?"
Scar-Fellah raised an eyebrow and said,
"I'm Harry Potter."
He seemed to expect a reaction so, I said,
"Nice name."
He stared at me.
"Have you, really, not heard of me, at all?" He said, seemingly flabbergasted. (What a nice word.) (Alex thought that btw.)
"No? Are you a...rockstar?" Magnus asked.
"Magnus, I don't think you're helping," I said, taking my arm off of him.
I spoke to Harry, saying,
"Sooo, who are you or was Magnus right about you?"
"Erm, well. It's a bit of a breath of fresh air so, I'll let you find out yourself," Harry grinned at me.
I shrugged and asked,
"British?"
He raised an eyebrow,
"You're at Hogwarts and you're asking if I'm a Brit?"
"Ah, so that's where this is!"
He looked at me with suspicion.
"What's that on your neck?" He asked.
I touched the nape of my neck that had a tattoo of my Mom's symbol.
"Just a reminder," I smirked at him.
Magnus wrapped an arm around my waist and said,
"Well, atleast we know we didn't crash-land in a random field!"
Ron spoke up for the first time in forever, (☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️.)
"Well, didn't Professor Mcgonagall say we're gonna get two more students tomorrow? Guess they dropped in early."
Harry nodded and beckoned us forward as he began to walk away,
"Yeah, well, maybe we should show you where the other transfers stay, you are transfers, right?" He said, tilting his head.
"Yeah, I think so?" Magnus said, or asked.
We followed the duo to a large-ass castle and Magnus gasped,
"This is bigger than the Chase Space!"
"Planning a renovation, Chase?" I asked.
He smiled and said,
"Hey, pretty sure this is the size of Boston."
We laughed and finally made our way to giant doors.
Harry said,
"You're gonna have to ask them to let you in since the keys are with Jackson."
"Jackson?" Magnus frowned.
"There's no way," I said.
We thanked the two and they left, telling us to come to them if we needed anything.
I took a deep breath and stared at the door.
"You do it, Maggie," I said.
"Ladies first."
"Hey!"
He punched my shoulder with a smile.
Then, he turned to the door and knocked lightly.
The door swung open as an emo teenager stood in the doorway.
"And, who the Hades are you?"
