"That...That's not fair! First Fafnir and then Fuerza...That Phi...I'd rather have him...!" Valt was totally angry. "It won't do you any good if you blindly run into a fight against Phi." "Yes, but because of him, the Beys of two of my friends were destroyed! This has to come to an end, Honcho!" "Hey, I know that, but you've seen how far anger has gotten Algi! If you go against Phi because of her and lose too, I don't want to know what's going through her head. She's already feeling bad because she thinks that she couldn't protect Free and you want her to get even worse?" "No of course not!" "Then let it be, Valt" "But-" "He's right"
Valt looked at the gate that led into the training hall. When they saw who was standing there, they were quite surprised.
"Lui?"
Lui entered the hall and walked directly towards the stands. "How long have you been here?" Shirosagi didn't answer. "Hello?"
Finally he stopped in front of the blonde, who was holding both Fafnir and Fuerza in his hands.
"Are you feeling sorry for yourself right now?" Free looked up. "You're pathetic! You're sitting here crying your eyes out while your girlfriend is, I don't know where, blaming herself." The blonde didn't answer, but lowered his gaze again. "This is so pathetic!"
"Stop talking so badly about Free! He stood up for Algi!"
"Didn't you talk about stopping me? You couldn't protect Free and you couldn't save yourself. Don't you think you've lied to yourself and others enough? You're pathetic!" Algería didn't know what to say. She just felt bad and ran away. "That should have been a lesson to her not to mess with powerful bladers." Phi turned to leave. "Wait!" Phi stopped. "I forbid you to talk about Algeria like that!" "As far as I know, you don't have the right to say anything." He turned around and saw Free. "You wouldn't understand anyway! For you it's all about power and proving to everyone that you're better than everyone else, no matter who you put on display, after all, you don't even care about your own brother. Algería isn't as selfish as you. She puts herself in front of others but in opposition to you in order to protect the people who mean everything to her! You used me as a mean of pressure to make her as vulnerable as possible. You have her manipulated and want to see this as a victory against her? You didn't win the fight against Algería or the one against me fairly." Free picked up the pieces from Fuerza. "You are a coward and have no right to talk about my girlfriend like that and laugh at her!"
"But where is he now? Now when she might need him the most? Do you really think she'll just forgive you for becoming her scapegoat? She did all this to protect you and what are you doing?" "She didn't have to do that and she knows it..." "But she did it because she loves you" Free stood up. "And do you think I didn't do that because I love her?! She means everything to me! I only did that so Phi would leave her alone! I knew she was only doing that because of me! I understood that she wanted to keep it a secret from me but at least I tried to do something about it!" "And me? Do you think I didn't want to do anything about it? Algería is the only family I have! I've always protected her since she was little! I didn't do anything because she asked me. Because I understood that it could break her!" "You just don't get it!" Free pushed Lui aside and left the hall.
Lui clenched his hands into fists.
"Arguing won't get you anywhere." "Raul?"
The old man walked towards Lui. "I know you both mean well, but this argument isn't helping Algería. You both had the right approaches. You helped her by holding back and trusting her, thereby protecting her. Free helped her by trying to protect her from it through the offensive. Algería is definitely very grateful for both and at this moment she needs both of you to understand that she did everything right and it's not bad that she didn't make it as she had hoped. She needs new courage to try again and she gets it from you both. After all, that's what she wants... She wants, that you simply forget your rivalry for her and be there for her as boyfriend and brother."
