The Rookie - Lost

Part 5

Tim: "I'm not taking them away from you. You're their mother and you protected them during the worse moments of their lives."

Angela: "Lucy, where did you get the idea that 'Tim would take them away from you' from?"

Lucy: "My former sergeant. He said that the father would take them and leave. Saying that I'm not a good mother at all and maybe he is right." At that moment, Tim grabbed Lucy's hand.

Tim: "You have done well for this long by yourself. You're an amazing mum and I'm positive the girls would agree with us." She gives everyone a small smile and looks at Abby.

Lucy: "She's clearly going to be her daddy's daughter." 

Tim: "I'm surprised at she hasn't moved yet."

Lucy: "She is clingy, because a few people at the station was making fun of her for not being able to speak properly. She will barely leave your side for 10 minutes."

Tim looked down at Abby, seeing how peaceful she was. The doctor walks in.

Doctor: "Okay, everyone is good to go. I'll just need to contact your emergency contact first to get him to sign the form."

Lucy: "No need, he is right here."

Doctor: "Mr Bradford?" Tim nods looking confused.

Lucy: "After my kidnapping, I changed my emergency contact changed from my parents to you. I trust you." He nods and signs the form.

Everyone went back to Lucy's apartment. She walked in and instantly wanted to walk out again. Everyone help get her settled into the apartment. Everyone else left, Tim and Lucy were alone.

Tim: "How are you?"

Lucy: "I'm okay, you can stay the night if you want and spend time with the girls."

Tim: "I'll stay for their bed time, then I guess the will be at the station tomorrow?" Lucy nodded. He spent the night getting to know his daughter, put them to bed then went home.

In the morning, the girls arrived at the station. They were welcome by everyone. They sent the day in Tim's office, with Lucy coming in every now and then. Tim was having so much fun with his daughter, Abby was cuddled up to him. Abby looked up at her father.

Abby: "Dada, happy?"

Tim: "Yes I am, I'm extremely happy darling."

Jackie: "You not leaving us, are you?"

Tim: "Oh sweetie, come here. I'm not going anywhere, I'm going to be here for you guys and for your mother. I see parts of her in you two." He is now cuddling both of the girls.

Jackie: "That's what mummy said about you. She said that we 'look like our father.' She would always tell us stories about you. Especially how you saved her life."

Lucy came in at the end of shift.

Lucy :"If you want, you can take them home tonight and let them stay with you."

Tim: "What about you? What are you going to do?"

Lucy: "Clean and watch tv." Lucy looks at her daughters.

Lucy: "Ok girls, you are going to stay with her for the night. If you get worried or scared, just ask your father to give me a call." The girls nodded and said goodbye to their mum.
