The Rookie - Lost

Part 10

Tim quickly made his way to the bed, passing Abby to Nyla.

Tim: "Luce, no don't do this. You're an amazing mum, and of course you're struggling being a single mother for so long. You're not alone anymore, we're here to help you. I'm not taking the girls away from you, you're their mum." Lucy was still in the ball.

Tim: "I'm sorry for not reaching out to you. You can and the girls can stay with me."

Lucy: "No, no I'll be fine."

Tim: "Your staying with me. I care about you Luce and the girls need their mum." He picked the girls up and put them on the bed, Kojo laid on the ground near the bed. Tim sat down in the chair next to the bed.

Lucy: "What are you doing?"

Tim: "I'm keeping you company. And no arguing." Lucy nodded. The others said their goodbyes before leaving. Lucy fell asleep and Tim got another bed for the girls, Tim was sleeping in the chair.

At about 1am, Lucy was having a terrible dream about everything. She was moving around and talking in her sleep, this woke Tim and Jackie up. Jackie went to get out of bed when she saw Tim move closer.

Tim: "Luce, wake up. It's a bad dream, but you need to wake up." Lucy instantly woke up and turned to Tim. She started throwing punches.

Lucy: "Get off me, leave me alone. Leave us alone."

Tim: "Hey, Luce. It's me, it's Tim. I need you to calm down." Lucy looked at Tim again and broke down.

Lucy: "T-Tim?"

Tim: "Yeah, Luce. I'm here and I'm not taking the kids away from you, just before you ask." Lucy moved over and tugged at Tim. He hopped on the bed, with one arm around Lucy. Lucy moved her head onto his chest and calmed down. Tim wrapped Lucy up into an embrace and see fell asleep.

In the morning, Tim woke up first. He looked down to see a sleeping Lucy on his chest, he did enjoy this feeling and realised that he liked Lucy. He looked over to the girls, seeing that they were both awake. He made sure that they were a safe way for the girls to get off the bed, they looked over to their dad.

Jackie & Abby: "Morning dad."

Tim: "Morning darlings, I would come over but I don't want to wake your mother. Did you sleep okay?" Both girls nod.

Tim: "Abby, if you want to come over so I can check your levels."

Jackie: "Dad, I can do it. If you want." He nodded and then watched as his daughters were helping each other.

A couple of minutes later, Lucy woke up. She panicked that she was laying on Tim's chest.

Tim: "Morning, calm down it's okay." She calm down.

Tim: "Let's check your levels, shall we?" She nodded, Tim helped check Lucy's level.

Tim moved off the bed to give her some space. They hung out and people from the station visited.

The next day, Lucy was released from hospital. Tim took Lucy and the girls to his house. But he stopped at Lucy's to get everything she needs.

She opens the apartment door to see a letter, it was a notice. She hasn't paid the rent and was presented with a timeframe for the payment or she'll be kicked out. Lucy took a deep breath, Tim walked up behind her and took notice of the letter. He vaguely saw what it was about.

Tim: "Everything good?"

Lucy: "Yeah of course it is."

Tim: "I know you're lying, what's going on?" Lucy sighed and passed the letter to Tim. He read it then looked up at Lucy.

Tim: "Oh Luce, I'm so sorry. Come here." He hugged Lucy to comfort her. They then got everything they needed and left for Tim's house.
