They settled down. The girls were in the guest room. Tim had set the couch up for himself.

Lucy: "What are you doing?"

Tim: "Setting the couch up."

Lucy: "I'm not kicking you out of your own bed. I'm taking the couch so move." Tim stood up and walked over to Lucy. He could tells she was worried about staying here.

Lucy: "How? They's nothing you can do that will help me."

Tim: "You guys can stay here until everything has settle down. I'm paying you child support, no arguments. We can work together on your shift, to help you but also making sure that you get to rest."

Lucy: "Thanks. But why do you want to help me? I'm your former rookie and just the mother to your children."

Tim: "Because, your ... more than just my former rookie and the mother."

Lucy: "What are you saying?"

Tim: "I care about you so much. I honestly missed you everyday after you left. I also ... really ... like you." She looks at him.

Tim: "I really like you Lucy."

Lucy: "I like you too. But I don't want anyone to see you with me, I'm broken. You would never want to date me and -" Tim interrupted her by kissing her. They pull apart and Lucy's was speechless.

Tim: "I don't care what others think. You're not broken at all, you're actually amazing. But have to take care of the girls all by yourself with no support, having to take time off and needing to spend money on medicine as well as any hospital visits. But there is nothing to worry about, we are going to do this together. Ok?"

Lucy: "Ok." Tim brings on of his hands to her face and cups her cheek.

Tim: "Now, the last thing I need to ask is ... would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Lucy: "Yes." They kiss. Tim picks Lucy up, she wraps her legs around his waist and arms around his neck.

Tim: "So, are you going to sleep on the couch or are you going to sleep in my bed?"

Lucy: "Mmmm ... let me think about that..." Tim gives her a questionable look.

Tim: "Your so mean."

Lucy: "Well, babe. I think that sleeping with you might be fun." Tim walks them to his bed.
