The Rookie - Lost

Part 21

Tim is at the station waiting for the wedding to start when he sees Lucy's parents.

Tim: "What are you doing here?"

Ld: "Our daughters wedding."

Tim: "No, you're not invited. So please go home."

Lm: "No way, we want to see who she is marrying."

Tim: "That's me. She also doesn't want you here."

Ld: "Of course, she fell for a cop."

Tim: "Ok, time for you to leave." They wouldn't leave and Tim was getting pissed. He couldn't do anything.

The wedding starts. Tim walks down the aisle and stands at the end. The bridesmaids and grooms men walk down the aisle. Jack, Jackie, Abby and Kojo came down the aisle and Tim teared up at his girls. They reach the end and he crouches down. (Btw Kojo is also the ring bearer).

Tim: "You girls look so pretty. I love you so much. Jack you look handsome."

Abby & Jackie: "Love you too daddy."

Jack: "That's uncle Tim." They head to their seats. The music changes and everyone stands up.

Lucy walks down the aisle arm linked with Grey. She sees Tim and starts tearing up. As he said to her last night, Tim was crying at the sight of his soon to be wife. They reach the end of the aisle.

Grey: "I'm proud of both of you. Lucy, you're amazing and deserve this so much. Love you. Tim take care of her."

Lucy: "Thanks dad, love you too."

Tim: "I will sir." Lucy hugs Grey and sees her parents. Tim and Lucy walk up the the celebrant.

Tim (whispers): "Don't be mad at me. I promise, I tried to get them to leave but they wouldn't."

Lucy: "I know you did. It's okay, I just need you." They hold hands as the celebrant starts.

Celebrant: "Welcome everyone, we are gathered here today to witness the union of marriage between Sergeant Tim Bradford and Detective Lucy Chen. Please be seated."

Celebrant: "Tim and Lucy met here at the Mid-Wilshire. Tim was Lucy's training officer, from that day they have been there for each other through thick and thin. Lucy helped Tim through his messy divorce. Tim helped Lucy after she was kidnapped. They ended up having twin girls, after a lost of their best friend. They were apart for 4 years before Tim saved Lucy again. They have started growing deep feelings for each and then started dating. They have been super happy and when Tim asked Lucy the question, she couldn't say yes any faster. They have grown so much and are close to welcoming their first son."

Celebrant: "Now I would like to invite Angela, Nyla and Wesley to come forth and share a few words."

Wesley: "When I first met Tim and Lucy, I never through that this would be where they would end up. But here we are. Tim has helped Lucy out so much and has become her safe place. Lucy has helped Tim break the walls down to let others in and have brought him to the light."

Nyla: "These two are the best partners in and out of work. They work so well together and I know that they will be able to navigate these new waters and be able to face whatever comes their way."

Angela: "I am so happy that they realise that they are good for each other. They have their ups and downs but have always come out strong." They all return to the spots.

Celebrant: "Tim and Lucy are not just sharing their lives today, they are sharing everything with each other and opening up to each other. Now you have prepared your own vows. Tim would you start us off." Tim pulls out his vows.

Tim: "You know, I am so nervous about fucking this up, but this piece of paper will not help me. (he pockets the paper) From the moment I met you, I knew you were different special. You were there during my dark days, never questioned or pried for any information. You were a friend, then my heart stopped the day you were kidnapped. I was thinking the worst but I used that to drive me to find you, saving you made me realise how special you were to me. After Jackson died, we hooked up while being drunk. I know that wasn't the best idea looking back at it but I wouldn't change anything about our time. Those 4 years when you left, I missed you so much and was worried that I was the reason you left. After finding you then finding out about our daughters, I knew you were trying to protect our careers. My heart broke when I found out about you struggling and that's when I decided to step in and help despite your protest about it. I have loved our time together and look forward to the future with you. I'm a happy man because of you. I love you so much Angel and will always take care of you." Lucy tears up and Tim squeezes her hands.

Celebrant: "Lucy is your turn." She looks directly in his eyes.

Lucy: "I spent days trying to write my vows, I couldn't write anything at all because I want this to come from the heart. Honestly you were a pain in my ass. But after learning about your struggles I wanted to support and help you. You ever pushed me away, when you pushed everyone else away. The day I was kidnapped, I thought about you the whole Tim. I wanted to fight to stay with you because I discovered my love for you. Being away for 4 years, I missed you so much. Thinking that you hated me for leaving but I couldn't put your career at risk. I never wanted to leave but knew it 'was' for the best. After reuniting with you, I have been so happy. You are an amazing father to our daughter and have been amazing with me. My future is bright because you are here with me. You always offer me a hug and never push me to do anything that I'm not comfortable with, you have helped me grow confidence and also ready to listen to my problems. I love you to the ends of the universe and will continue to love and cherish you so much. I will always be here for and help brighten your day." Tim is also in tears as he soaks in every word she says.

Celebrant: "Can we please have the rings?" Abby and Kojo walks up with the rings. Tim and Lucy grabs the rings. Then Kojo barks and sits at Lucy's side. Tim knew that when Kojo sat next to her side her glucose levels were low and when he sat in front of her, her glucose levels are high. The celebrant pauses.

Tim: "One second." One second, he reaches down for her meds and a snack. The celebrant tells everyone to talk amongst themselves for the minute.

Tim: "Angel, I'm sorry but you're going to feel a small prick." She nods as he gets her the injection and passes her the snack. After Kojo left her side, Tim nods at the celebrant.

Celebrant: "Tim repeat after me. (Tim follows the celebrants words). With this ring, I ask you to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish you, for time and all eternity."

Tim puts the ring on Lucy's finger.

Celebrant: "Lucy repeat after me. (Lucy follows the celebrants words). With this ring, I ask you to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish you, for time and all eternity."

Lucy puts the ring on Tim's finger.

Celebrant: "Now by the power invested in me, I now pronounce your husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Tim pulls Lucy in for a passionate kiss. They walk up the aisle and went over to the other side of the roof.

Tim and Lucy excuse the, selves so Lucy could get changed.
