The Rookie - Lost

Part 22

Everyone was dancing and then cheered when Lucy and Tim rejoined the party. They all dance then sit down to eat.

Angela: "Okay, settle down. I just want to say that Tim you're my best friend, I have never seen you this happy. Lucy has truely made you happy and Lucy thank you for saving Tim from himself."

Everyone cheers for the couple.

Tim: "Okay, now you're my wonderful wife. I love you so much Mrs Bradford."

Lucy: "Love you too Mr Bradford." They were talking about and sharing stories about Tim and Lucy, when Lucy's parents approached the table.

Lm: "What have I told you about watching what you eat?"

Lucy: "What? I pregnant, I'm literally growing a human inside of me."

Ld: "Still, you're huge. I don't know why you worn a dress like that at your wedding. It showed everything." 

Lm: "Plus I don't know why this man would want to marry you. You're such a disappointment and you're wasting your life with this job." Lucy was very upset.

Tim: "Don't talk to her like that. She's perfect the way she is and is a well decorated officer."

Lm: "No. You're just saying that to be nice to her." Tim was actually getting mad, Grey could see this and stepped in before Tim did anything. Tim saw Grey standing in front of them so he turn his attention to hi upset wife. Holding her close and comforting her.

Grey: "Time for you to leave."

Ld: "We're just talking to our daughter."

Grey: "No more, leave NOW! Never contact Lucy again or we will arrest you for harassment." Two officers escorted them out.

Tim: "Angel, you're okay. Please don't listen to them, everything I have ever said about you is true. You're so beautiful."

Lucy: "It hurts so much, hearing this over and over. I'm sick of it."

Tim: "We all love you. And I love you my gorgeous wife. Plus I'm so proud of you and everything you do." Tim kisses Lucy's forehead. All the girls came over and gave her a big hug, then Grey pulled her in for a hug. 

After they comforted Lucy, Tim pulls her on his lap.

Tim: "Angel, everyone here loves you so much and don't want you to change anything about yourself. I know those are your bio parents, but this ... this is your family. We take care of each other and look out everyone." Lucy nods and sighs before turning to Tim, snuggling up to him. Once Grey gets back, he walks over to Lucy. She sees that he is coming over to her and runs up to him. They hug each other, everyone was watching this unfold. Lucy was hugging Grey tightly.

Grey: "You okay?"

Lucy: "I don't know."

Grey: "It's okay to be unsure, don't let them get to you. You're the opposite to what they were saying about you."

Lucy: "Thanks." Grey pulls away from Lucy to look at her.

Grey: "Hey Lu, would you like to have a father daughter dance?" He extends a hand to her.

Lucy: "Ok." She takes his hand, they make their way to the dance floor. They dance together while everyone is watching them. Tim is watching how perfect the moment was. They pull away to let the others know they can join in, and continue to dance.

Tim: "Abby, Jackie, would you like to have a daddy daughter dance?" Both girls were excited but Abby was a little hesitant.

Tim: "Abby, you okay?"

Abby: "What if my levels change?"

Tim: "Oh honey, will get Kojo to sit to the side on the dance. No less or anything, so if he picks up on anything he can run to you. Okay?" She nods, Tim guides both the girls to the dance floor. He tells Kojo to sit and stay, taking off his leash. Tim and the girls are dancing together, when Angela walks over.

Angela: "This is too cute."

Tim: "Yeah, got to have a dance with my beautiful daughters." They continue dancing when, all of a sudden Kojo barks. Everyone stops dancing, as Kojo runs up to Abby, sitting in front of her. Tim brings Abby close, knowing that she could pass out. He grabs her test out and checks her levels.

Tim: "Honey, your levels are high. I need to give you the injection." He went to move his hands away.

Abby: "Daddy, please don't leave me. I'm feeling unwe-" She passes out in Tim's arms. He isn't able to give her the injection.

Tim: "Jackie, could you do me a huge favour? In the bag there's Abby's injection she needs, could you give it to her. I know your mother showed you how to do it." An adult in the room went to interrupt but Jackie got there first.

Jackie: "Yeah, dad. I can." She grabbed the injection and administer it to her sister. They sat there waiting for her to wake up, Kojo became very protective and growled when people got too close. Lucy walks over to them and Tim looks up. He know what question she wanted to ask.

Tim: "Her level was high." She nodded and cam closer to her family. Kojo came over to her, he sat down and lifted his paw. This was his way of communicating to them that he wanted them to get checked. Lucy gave him her hand while she got Jackie to check her levels. Her levels were fine. Kojo just wanted to make sure that she was okay, Lucy patted him letting him know that he did a good job.

Abby slowly started to wake up and was fairly disoriented.

Abby: "Daddy, where are you? I need you."

Tim: "Honey, I'm right here." She snuggled into Tim's chest. Kojo came over and laid his head on her. After a few minutes, Tim got up and held Abby for the rest of the day.

After the reception was finished everyone went home. Tim and Lucy, along with their girls all snuggled up together.
