LUCYS COUSIN - ivy / ivory dacus - gets kicked out of her house - IN WHICH her cousin lucy let her move in with her and her 2 bandmates, there's one special girl that stands out to her...
it was about 12PM and i had been up for a bit and scheduled her a doctors appointment, it was at 1 so i decided to wake her up now.
i walked in our room quietly, she was wrapped up in our white bedsheets, hair messy, shirt riding up a little, and her nose and cheeks were a light shade of pink.
i pushed some hair out of her eyes and whispered, "baby you have a doctors appointment in an hour, can you get up and eat and get ready for me?" i asked, she groaned a little. "it's 12 baby" i say again. she rubbed her eyes and looked up at me with sad eyes, her brows tilting up a little, "i feel even worse" she said, it coming out in a horsed, groggy voice. "i know hon, we're gonna get you checked out, you gotta get up though" i said, sitting on the bed beside her. she finally sat up and i kissed her forehead, she nuzzled her head into my neck.
she eventually got up and ate some toast, threw some clothes on, and i drove her to the doctor.
they had to swab juliens throat, which nearly made her puke, but they also did a flu + covid test. turns out she had the flu, meaning i would also probably have it in a week, but it's okay as long as she's okay.
we got home, i had made sure she was staying hydrating and taking her meds, and laying on the couch watching MUNA's 'gayotic' podcast. lucy and phoebe were also in there, not caring that jb was sick.
my phone lit up with a notification, but i ignored it. then it lit up again and before i could look at my phone juliens face scrunched up in disgust.
i looked down and there was a text from my mom saying "dinner next monday at 6? i want to meet your girlfriend properly, the other girls can come along" i started thinking of a response, i needed to tell lucy but also if i told lucy she would possibly chew my mom out.
julien looked up at me like she needed the answer and i shrugged. "lucy..." i said and she turned her head to me, "mom asked for dinner at 6 next monday, she said you can all come..." i said. lucy's face dropped and she sighed. "we'll go, if julien isn't still sick, but i swear to god she makes one ugly remark, we're leaving, and i'm going the fuck off on her. i'm not kidding" she said and i nodded.
well, something new to stress about for the next 8 days.
"maybe this is a bad timing... but what if i just hard launched us to the public? like on my instagram?" julien said, making all of our heads turn to her. she looked at them, they were looking at me, and i was looking at all of them
"i mean... why not, with the new album release everyone is most likely gonna find out anyways" i said shrugging, making everyone's faces turn to shock. so julien did it. she hard launched us to the public.
