chapter eleven - in the middle of chaos, there was you.

(Ivys POV)

when we got home we all changed and decided to watch charlie browns  thanksgiving. it was about 10PM and we were midway through the movie, phoebe was asleep with her head in lucy's lap, lucy was also asleep. i was laying on julien, she was sort of holding me.

i felt myself dozing off, "ivy hon, do you want to go to bed?" julien whispered, moving some hair out of my face. "what? oh — no i'm fine" i replied, "are you sure? i saw you falling asleep" she said. "i wasn't falling asleep, i have so much energy" i said as i yawned, julien giggled a little. "yeah okay" she laughed, "but i'm serious, if you're tired let's get you to bed" she said looking at me sincerely. "i just don't wanna leave your embrace" i said sleepily.

i saw a smile creep up onto her face, "honey we can cuddle in our bed, let's just go in there so it's comfier than this couch" she giggled, i looked up at her sheepishly grinning and wrapped my arms and legs around her. "but this moment is perfect" i giggle.

she picks me up, which takes me by surprise, you'd think such a tiny human wouldn't be able to lift anything slightly bigger than them. i tried muffling my giggles so we wouldn't wake the other two as she carried me into the bedroom. she dropped me on the bed "now get comfortable" she giggled slipping into the covers. i got comfortable beside her.

we faced eachother, "you know, even in the middle of all of my chaos, you make everything feel less horrible. you're like a ray of sunshine." i said, both of us smiling. she sat there for a second, we were making eye contact. my heart was pounding, my cheeks were flushed, this woman felt like she was going to be the death of me. "can i kiss you?" she asked, i genuinely think my heart stopped for a minute. "yea" i whispered, our lips connected. it was passionate even though wasn't a long kiss, it was sweet. it was amazing.

after we pulled away i smiled, "you have no clue how long i have wanted that to happen" i said, nuzzling my head into her shoulder to hide my beet red face. "me too" she giggled, "then why didn't you do it sooner? wimp!" i said sarcastically, making us both giggle.
she tried prying my head out of her shoulder, "stop hiding your pretty face!" she giggled still trying to see me, i blushed more. "well if you keep that up you're never seeing it again, i bet i look sunburnt!" i giggled.

"oh come on!" she laughed, getting my head up. i slapped my hands over my face, "you're cute when you blush though!" she said, "oh my god stop!" i said giggling and blushing more. she liked teasing me, i thought it was cute. she eventually stopped so i could actually function long enough to talk.

"so, what now?" i asked, "so i was originally planning on taking you on a date and then asking you this, but i can't wait much longer, will you be my girlfriend?" she asked, my face lit up. "yes yes a million times yes!" i said, wrapping her in a hug with my arms around her neck. she giggled and kissed my cheek, "i'm glad!" she grinned.

"how am i supposed to sleep now?" i said, "i don't know, maybe snuggled up against your girlfriend?" she sarcastically suggested, i smiled at her. "yea okay" i giggled, cuddling up to her. i looked up and we smiled at eachother, i reached over to turn the lamp off. "goodnight julien" "goodnight ivy."

9:30 AM

i woke up in a semi-confused state before realizing everything that had happened the night before. i turned over, seeing julien on her phone. she moved her phone down away from her face, "good morning, girlfriend!" she grinned goofily. i giggled, "good morning jules" i said as she kissed me. that was definitely never getting old.

"i was waiting for you to wake up so i could ask if you wanna take a dunkin trip" she grinned,"of course! as long as i can stay in my pajamas" giggled. "yep come on" she giggled, picking me up. her picking me up made me scream, but i tried to stop incase the two girls on the couch the night before were still asleep.

they indeed were, me and julien walked out and saw phoebe asleep on lucys chest, lucys arm hanging off the couch, lucys phone beside her face, and their legs tangeled together. i quietly giggled.

me and julien got in the car, "i still can't believe you're my girlfriend" i smiled. i smiled so much my cheeks started to hurt. "me neither" she grinned, giving my lips a quick peck before starting to drive.

she pulled into the drive thru, "what do you want?" she asked me. "a donut and just a tea" i smiled as she nodded. she ordered and pulled up to the window, i tried giving her my card to use but she wouldn't accept it.

¡ looked at myself in the little mirror above my seat, "i kind of wanna take a picture in this little mirror" i said. "go for it" she grinned at me. i put a little lip gloss on so my lips wouldn't look chapped, i snapped a quick picture as we pulled in our driveway.

she kissed me for a few seconds before taking the keys out of the car. "i wonder if these hooligans are still asleep" she said as we walked up to the door, "i don't know, maybe" i said.

we walked in and lucy was awake on her phone, her head snapped towards us. "oh shit i didn't know you guys left, i just woke up and didn't wanna wake phoebe so i didn't even check on y'all" she said, rubbing her eyes. phoebe stirred a little on lucy. me and julien both giggled.

"i didn't know what you would have wanted so i didn't get you guys anything" julien said, "no it's fine — julien what is the glossy stuff around your mouth?" lucy asked. julien looked at me with wide eyes and i nearly choked on my tea,

"oh um....i had a glazed donut" julien said. lucy furrowed her brows, "oh?" she said. phoebe rubbed her eyes as she was waking up on lucy, she sat up looking at us then looking at lucy. "what the fuck" she said groggily and then laying back down. we all laughed as she fell back asleep. "i feel bad to wake her up but i really need to pee" lucy said, making us all laugh.

she picked phoebes head up gently, moving it onto a pillow. phoebe opened her eyes again, looking up at lucy confused. "sorry bud, i just needed to get up. you can go back to bed" lucy said, kissing phoebes forehead. lucy was such a good caretaker it was almost bittersweet. phoebe nodded and pulled a blanket over her, falling back asleep in an instant.

looking over to see if phoebe was still asleep, julien turned to me. "you little shit! you didn't tell me i had lip gloss on my mouth" she said, "i didnt see it! come here ill get it off" i giggled. i wiped the lip gloss off of her mouth with a wet paper towel, lucy walked back in the kitchen.

a/n: hi!!! surprise..... also a pretty long chapter! i'm sooo unwell over the photo dumps from juliens birthday and the msg content. gf literally held me while i sobbed over the msg content. anyways, tour will be over soon :( me and my girlfriend put halloween stuff up today bc it's the first week of october :) anyways i'll stop rambling
