After our hour and a half long lift. We all changed and went our separate ways whether that be to class or back to our own places. I didn't have class today so I went back to my place to shower, eat some food and finish up any assignments that I need to complete.

As I was driving back to my house the groupchat was going crazy. Although I have apple carplay I didn't have the messages set up to be read out loud while I'm driving. The drive back home took ten minutes. Once I parked the car, locked my door and went inside I opened the groupchat.

Roman: so you'll never guess what Blake and I saw when we walked into the weight room today

Colston: what did you two see

Donovan: jj what did you do

JJ: why do you instantly assume i did something

Colston: because we know you and we know you like to get to practice early and you're usually the first one there

Blake: anyway Roman and I saw JJ and our new social media manager Val holding hands

Roman: it was honestly adorable, but that's not all once they realized we were in the room JJ pulled her into a hug and he kissed the top of her head

Tyler: wow jj moving in quick are we

AJ: haha you ready to deal with her hockey player older brother

Johnson: yeah are you ready to deal with that. From what I've heard they're best friends and are basically attached at the hip.

Blake: oh jj you're in for it

Roman: anyway are you going to ask her on a date because the pictures I took of you both are adorable and I need to share them with the world

JJ: maybe soon, but even if i did i wouldn't tell you boysuntil after i did it because you all are loud mouths and can't keep a secret

After responding to these messages I quickly hopped in the shower to wash up. Once I was out I put on my michigan sweats, tshirt and hoodie from last year. I checked what my last homework assignment was and it was my sports management assignment so I had a reading to do. I put my headphones on and started my playlist.

As I was reading the chapter on Sports Public Relations my phone showed a new notification from instagram. I saw that it was from the Michigan football page. I opened it and liked the pictures that were posted. After doing that I realized that I didn't text Val yet.

JJ: really you were

Val: yeah i was it sounds weird since we just met yesterday, but we instantly became close and have this instant connection

JJ: it doesn't sound weird, i feel it too. i was worried if i said anything that it would come off as creepy. i was wondering if you wanted to go get dinner with me tonight.

Val: of course, but would this be a date or just getting dinner as friends

JJ: it can be what you want it to be. i would love for it to be a date, but it doesn't have to be
