When I arrived back home I saw that Val texted me letting me know that she was going to bed early. I knew that she was tired while at my place. I made some rice with chicken and beans for dinner. I turned on the tv and watched some ESPN. Dinner was finished after about half an hour, but I made enough to have some meals prepped for the week. After eating and cleaning up all of the dishes. I continued watching some tv and laid down in bed.

It was getting later and I went to change and get ready for bed. Once I was all washed up I laid back down in bed and continued watching some tv. As I was watching tv I started to get tired so I turned it off, set my alarm and went to bed.

I woke up early when my alarm went off. I brushed my teeth and changed into a pair of sweat and a hoodie before making myself some breakfast. I didn't have practice today so I had more time. I decided to make an omelet with some potatoes and toast. After I finished cooking and eating my breakfast. I decided to take a quick shower before driving to my parents place. The drive is about an hour and a half without traffic. I would get there around 9. I needed to make a stop along the way. I left soon after my shower. About halfway through the drive I went to one of the convenience stores to buy myself a snack and some coffee. I already had a water bottle so I didn't need to buy that. Throughout the drive I had my music on and was responding to Val's messages through my apple carplay. As soon as I walked into the house my mom and sister pulled me to the couch and started to ask me all the questions they wanted to ask me the other day. I couldn't answer their questions since they were asking them at the same time in rapid fire. "Okay mom, Cait, Morgs you're not giving me time to answer all the questions. I promised I'll answer your questions, but I need you to ask me one at a time and give me time to answer them." My dad was laughing throughout this whole ordeal finding all of this hilarious. Mom asked me first "Honey, are you guys official and tell me the truth because I see the way you look at her." I shook my head no, but quickly spoke "I'm planning on asking her soon. I just want it to be perfect." They all found this adorable. Next Morgan asked "that picture was so cute, but please tell who that boy was when he came to your door because him and Valentina looked to be close to each other." "Morgs, that was her brother. The one that I told you was on the hockey team here." Finally Caitlin asked "okay so we noticed that she was at your game and two sections away from us. I also noticed that she was in your hoodie which I found adorable. However, when we facetimed you when she was at your place she seemed upset. What happened to make her that upset?" "Yes she was at the game and in my hoodie. I can't tell you why she was upset. I know why she was, but it's not my story to tell. Val will have to tell you herself, but all I can say is what's happened to her is really bad." They nodded now, understanding why I can't tell them, but want Val to tell them herself.

We all sat in the living room talking and watching some tv. As we were sitting and watching tv my phone buzzed with a text from Val. Since my phone was on the coffee table my sisters were able to see that Val had texted me. I picked my phone up to respond to the messages.

I finished texting Val and opened doordash to order her food and coffee. I've never had an acai bowl, but I knew my sisters have. I didn't want to get her the wrong bowl or order from a place that didn't make it well. "Hey Caitlin and Morgan what's a good place to order an acai bowl from?" They looked at me shocked. I kept looking at them waiting for one of them to answer. As I was waiting for them to answer I added her coffee to my cart. Finally Caitlin answered and told me either Playa Bowls or Everbowls is good. I looked at both and decided on sending Val Playa bowls. I added the Peanut Butter and Nutella bowl, but took out the coconut flakes. Once I made sure I had everything in the cart and that it would be delivered to her place I checked out.
