"Hope your treating each other kindly." I call as I set my plate down next to Newt's.
"Come on Marcus." Gally turns to me. "Don't be such a sank."
"Whatever Gally." I laugh.
As gally turns and leaves I turn towards the new Greenie.
"Greenie this is Newt. Newt this is Greenie." I introduce then add. "Well his names not actually Greenie but..."
Newt laughs. "Yeah. I know." He holds out a hand to the Greenie. "I'm Newt."
"Hi." The Greenie shake Newt's hand."
"So, what did Gally have to say?" I ask.
"Nothing really, Marcus." Greenie sits down at the table.
"Define nothing." Newt sits down as well.
"Oh just re-implying the rules Alby already told me." The new Glader pokes around at their food.
"You get used to it." I point to the plate as I also sit.
"Okay." The Greenie looks up from his plate.
"I know there aren't many of us here," Newt beings. "But I think you're the youngest out of us."
I look at the Greenie, taking in his appearance. Mid-length brown-blonde hair, youthful eyes. A pinkish blush permanent on his cheeks. "Yeah, most likely."
"Is that a good thing?" The Greenie asks, a sense of nervousness in his voice.
"Don't worry nothing will happen." I reply.
"It could work in your favour." Newt adds.
"Greenbean!" I exclaim.
"What?" Newt Laughs.
"Don't say things like that."
"Why. You afraid the other Gladers will like him better?"
"They already don't like me."
"Really?" asks the Greenie.
"Yeah." I say then add. "Newt's the only one really."
"Well not anymore." The Greenie stutters. "I mean now you have Newt and me."
New laughs. "Now you'll have someone to hang out with whilst I'm out int the Maze."
"Okay." I laugh.
"Yo. How things going?" Fry asks as he joins us cheerfully.
"Oh, you know." I wave my hand absently. "just having fun with the new Greenie."
"Oh, that's how it's going to be?" Newt asks.
"Fine you and greenie can tell." I say.
"Why am I involved?" The Greenie asks.
"It's just I'm sur Newts going to want someone to back him up." I stand having finished my food. "Any way. I've finished so."
"Okay fine." Fry says. "Don't do anything stupid okay, Marcus?"
"Yes sir." I salute to him.
"Good that." Fry then turns back to the others. "Now, tell me."
I chuckle to myself as I walk away.
