DAY ONE OUT OF THIRTY ONE.

DECEMBER 12, 2014.

FIVE DAYS BEFORE WINTER BREAK.

3:34 PM.

ARABELLA'S POV.

"Welcome to the Robinson house." Nick mumbles as he opens the door to his house.

"Where do you want this?" I ask, taking my bag off my shoulder.

"I don't care, you can put it wherever." He kicks off his black shoes, dropping his bag next to them.

"Um do you want to do the vlog for this hour now?" I ask, setting my bag down by his and taking my shoes off.

"Yeah, we probably should." Nick nods, grabbing his phone.

"Okay so it's, three thirty- four."

"We are about to go eat." Nick says, causing me to nod and Nick to end the video.

"Are we actually going out to eat?" I ask, following the boy up the stairs.

"I was going to order something, Do you want pizza or Chinese?" He turns back and smiles at me, blushing and turning to a door. His phone goes off, he takes it out of his pocket and mumbles a few cuss words.

"Um, we need to go pick my brother up from school." Nick turns to go back down the stairs, bumping into me.

"Sorry." he whispers.

"It's fine, how old is he?" I play with my bracelet.

"Eight. Do you want to stop at steak and shake on the way back?" I nod as he puts his sneakers back on, watching as he bit his lip.

god damn.

''Did you say something?" Nick turns back to me, blushing.

''Oh, um, no." I clear my throat, looking at my phone. Emily texted in the group chat, something about meeting at the park at ten.

"So, what music do you listen to?" Nick asks as he fiddles with the radio dials once we get into the car.

"Country." I shrug, Nick furring his eyebrows in disgust.

"I'm kidding, I hate country. I listen to, like the Neighbourhood and Fall Out Boy. What do you listen to?"

"The same mostly." he nods and settles on all time low. I could see Nick silently singing along to the song, making me smile.

"You know you can sing in front of me, right? We're stuck with each other for a month, might as well get comfortable with each other now."

"I'll sing under one condition." He turns and looks at me, pointing.

"And what is that?" I lean on arm rest in between us, watching as Nick inhales and turns back to the road.

"You sing the next song with me."

"If I know it I will, okay?" I suggest as the radio starts playing commercials. Before the next song comes on, we reach a small school.

It looked as cliché as it looks on Disney movies now a days. Some kids were throwing snow balls, others were on the playground.

"It looks like we're early." he whispers, opening his truck door. I open mine and follow him, catching up to him. I walk beside him, our arms brushing against each other's every so often.

"So, what's your brother's name?" I turn to the boy, who's nose was already red from the cold. I watch as snow fell onto his face, a big sigh leaving his lips.
