DAY SIX OUT OF THIRTY ONE.
DECEMBER 17,2014.
DAY ONE OF WINTER BREAK
11:57 A.M.
ARABELLA'S P.O.V.
"Nick!" I knock on his door, rocking on the balls of my feet.
"Arabella, it's so nice to see you." his mom hugs me, welcoming me inside.
"He's still sleeping, you can wake him up if you want." she smiles and walks back into the living room, unpausing Gossip Girl.
I walk up the stairs, lightly knocking on the closest door. His brother comes out of the room next to it, a red mark on his cheek.
"Is this Nick's room?" I ask and he nods, smiling before going back to his room. I walk into Nick's room, seeing a dog licking his face. Going over to him, I poke his cheek. He groans, turning on his side so he's facing me. I poke him fifteen more times before giving up and sitting on top of him. His dog stops looking at me and goes back to licking his neck, making Nick smile.
"Buddy, stop." he groans and turns again, causing me to fall.
"Hey loser, wake up." I start throwing pieces of gum from a packet on the ground at him, Nick finally waking up.
"What's going on?"
"It's noon and we have plans." I say as he yawns and rubs his eyes. I cross my legs and lean back on the ground, sighing.
"Close your eyes." he mumbles, blush creeping back to his face.
"What, why?"
"Just close your eyes, I uh, male things." I close my eyes, hearing him shuffle.
"I need to take a shower, so I'll be while." I open my eyes thinking he was done, seeing his grab his clothes in his boxers and shirt.
"I'm going to hang out with your brother, come get me when you're ready." I say as he goes into his bathroom. Shuffling out of his room, I knock on his brothers door.
"Hi!"
"Hey bud, what are you up to?"
"Just playing with Legos, want to play?"
"Yeah of course." he invites me into his room, sitting on the soccer shaped beanbag chair.
"So, how's your brother treating you, do I need to beat him up?" I ask and he laughs, stacking a red Lego on top of a blue one.
"He's been nicer to me then he was before. It's because of you, I know." his brother nods at the end, looking around before picking up a lego.
"What?"
"He likes you. Even though you have cooties."
"He likes me as a friend." I shake my head, placing another Lego onto the house I was building.
"No. His cheeks are always red around you." it was now his turn to shake his head.
"Honey, believe me, he doesn't like me."
"Don't tell him I told you, but I know what love looks like, it's how my dad used to look at mom." My heart breaks as the little boy looks up at me. I smile softly and decide to drop it, the subject being a touchy one.
"Can I tell you something else about Nick?" He leans in like its a big secret, making me smile more.
"Yeah,"
"His pee pee gets hard when he looks at you sometimes." I laugh at what he said, the poor boy not knowing what he just got his brother into.
"Really?" I laugh more, putting another Lego on the top of the house I built.
"Yeah. I can hear him in his room sometimes at night, it sounds like he's hurt." My mouth falls open but soon closes as Nick walks in.
"You ready?" He was holding up his camera, so I assume he was vlogging.
"Yep."
"So what are we doing today Arabella?"
"We are going ice skating." I cheer.
👫
1:30 P.M.
"Nick come on." I laugh, looking at the boy who was standing by the entrance. He looks at me, shaking his head and yelling back.
"I can't!"
"Come on! We don't have all day, do you want me to hold your hand?" I jokingly pout, skating towards him. He shyly nods as a little girl skates past him. I grab his hand so he would be by the wall, pulling him towards the rink.
"Hey! Glad to see you two are actually doing the project." our teacher slides in front of us out of nowhere, making me jump and almost fall. Luckily, for me Nick grabs me, but falls over after I'm up.
"Nice one Nick." I grab the wall and help him back up, turning to Mr.Hall.
"Thank you Mr. Hall, for the whole project thing."
"Anytime! You two would just be so cute together, I have to go, see you in two weeks!" He then turns to Nick and whispers something along the lines of 'the dance is five days after we go back.'.
"I'll race you?" I say after he leaves, Nick shaking his head.
"I can't skate."
"I'll make you a deal." I lean against the wall, watching as Nick exhales.
"What is that, snow?"
"If I get you in the middle of the rink before two, I'll go on a date with you." Nick raises his eyebrows in surprise, staring at me.
"What if I don't?"
"Then you don't get a date with me and I tell your mom you Jack off to pictures of your classmates." a lady who was skating by gives us a dirty look, pulling his daughter closer and covering her ears. Nick face flushes and he narrows his eyes at me, trying to act punk.
"You got a deal." I grab his hand, starting to skate away. He stumbles behind me, suddenly becoming fearless and pushing away from the wall.
"If we do go on this date, will you sing to me?" He asks as we go past our teacher, who apparently overhears him and gives him a smile of excitement.
"Why?" I groan, turning and grabbing both his hands, skating backwards.
"You sing cute." he shrugs, tightening his grip on me as he steadies himself.
"You sing cute? Great way to pick up chicks, Rudolph."
"Be ready by six." Nick says randomly, causing me to pull my eyebrows together in confusion.
"What? You're not even in the middle yet." he let's go of my hands and stumbles his way to the middle, smiling at me once he reaches it.
"I did it! I'll pick you up at six on Friday." he points as he falls over, groaning as he hits the ground.
I laugh for the third time in the last two hours, shaking my head at the boy who I was going on a date with.
I couldn't wait.
