DAY EIGHT OUT OF THIRTY ONE.
DECEMBER 19, 2014.
DAY THREE OF WINTER BREAK.
1:00 P.M.
ARABELLAS P.O.V.
"Arabella can you come down here?" I groan and roll out of bed, stretching. I've only got a few hours of sleep, as Nick and I decided to stay up all night and vlog so we can have the day off.
"What's up?"
"You lied to me." my dad says.
"What? What are you talking about?"
"You said you and Nick were just friends."
"We are." I cross my arms, leaning against the wall.
"Then why did he just ask me for my permission to take you on a date?" My dad cracks a smile, Gray now looking up from his book.
"Did he really?"
"Yeah, I told you he was a keeper. " he hands me a sandwich.
"I bet you thirty bucks they're getting married." Gray closes his book, smiling at my dad.
"You already own me ten, but you got a deal."
"Wait you've been betting on me?" I take a bite of my sandwich. They look at me and nod, going back to what they were doing before.
"We wanted to see if you told us or not."
"Couldn't you be doing something productive." I roll my eyes, sitting down by the table.
"Ten goes to Nick bringing roses." my dad slams a ten dollar bill on the table.
"Thirty bucks he walks her to the door and kisses her." Gray puts a few bills on the table, making me scoff.
"How do you have so much money?"
"I have savings, plus, I got some off of dad."
"You guys are lame."
4:00 Pm
"Has anyone seen my pink fluffy cover up?" I walk out of my room, going into the family room.
"Well look at you." My dad says, pointing to my attire of a white shirt and black ripped jeans.
"Have you seen my cover up?" I groan, crossing my arms at my parents.
"It's in my room honey." My mom looks up from her book.
"Should I wear lipgloss?"
"Yes."
I run upstairs and grab the cardigan, stopping at my brothers room. He smiles, nodding and telling me to have fun.
By the time I was ready and sat on the couch, Nick was here.
"I got it!" I scream, pushing my dad back into the kitchen. I runs and open the door, smiling as Nick pops his head out from behind a bouquet of roses.
"You look- absolutely breathtaking." he hands me the flowers and I invite him inside.
"Ha! You own me ten bucks!" My dad screams as we enter the kitchen.
"Oh my god, guys stop."
"It's the first guy over!" I roll my eyes as I fill the vase with water, my mom sipping from her coffee.
"No way it's the first guy! I've got to be like, the fifth." Nick says, making me groan.
"Nope, we're out of here." i grab his arm before he could say anything and drag him out the house. We get into his truck, Nick putting his hand on my knee.
"So what are we doing?"
"We are going to a drive in movie."
"Good. You're a good person." I nod, playing with his fingers. He laughs and I continue to play with his fingers.
"You're fingers are entertaining." I look at the boy, my breath hitching as his jaw tenses.
"They can be entertaining in another way too." he raises his eyebrows and looks at me.
"You have got to be kidding me." I roll my eyes at the boy, Nick turning into the woods. We soon reach the clearing, parking in the front row.
"You coming?" Nick gets out of the car, making me confused.
"What?" I ask, Nick gesturing to the back of the trunk, which was covered in pillows and blankets.
"I can't reach it." I try to climb in it, which I could not. Nick laughs his adorable laugh, picking me up and setting me in the back.
"What movie is it?" I ask as I try to warm myself up.
"Grease I think. Come here, you look cold." He pulls me onto his lap, his arms wrapping around my waist. I shift around a little bit, trying to get comfortable. Nick rests his head on my shoulder, stopping me from shifting.
"Again, not a good idea." He whispers.
"Wait, are you- oh my god Nick ew!"
"Okay having a beautiful girl rubbing her butt on you causes things, alright?" I jokingly rub my butt on him again, causing him to tighten his grip on me.
"I'm gonna have to punish you if you do that again princess." I stop, blushing horribly.
"Not the only one turned on now, huh?" He was right, I was just never going to admit it. I decide to joke around with him some more, turning towards him.
"Sorry." I bat my eyelashes, causing Nick to roll his eyes.
"Stop, it's not helping- oh, I see what you're trying to do." Nick bites his lip, making my stomach do little flips.
"How does my family think you're an angel?" I lay my head on his shoulder, looking up at him.
"The question you should be asking is how I haven't kissed you yet."
👫
9:00 P.M."Thank you for everything tonight Nick." I sigh, turning to the tall boy.
"Thank you, for even agreeing to go with me."
"Do you want to come in? I'm sure my family is dying to see who won the bet." Nick laughs and nods, following me into my house.
"I'm home!" We enter the family room, everyone in my family trying to act causal. My mom dusting a shelf, my dad on the floor, and my brother had his arm draped over the couch as he leans on it.
"Hey honey, fancy seeing you here Nick." my mom sets down the duster, smiling at us.
"Oh my gosh you guys are so embarrassing."
My parents talk to Nick for a while, before Nick leaves.
"You own me thirty bucks." my brother says to my dad.
"What are you talking about?"
"He walked you to the door and kissed you." my dad sighs, handing my brother the money.
"He didn't kiss me." I start blushing, being caught in a lie was one of my weaknesses.
"Honey, I don't think Nick wears pink lipgloss."
