Chapter Thirteen : Horror of Welcome

"ROSE BANGED SOMEONE!" A shout sounded through Team Omega's base, waking every single person in the building, including the two in question.

"What time is it." Rose muttered, rubbing her jaw and messing up her hair as she rolled over only to find herself face to face with a guy.

"So Rose." The memories of the previous night flashed through her mind as she rolled over and say up to look at Mardin leaning in her open doorway. The bottom half of his mask was unzipped to reveal a sly grin. He waltzed over to her, ignoring her annoyed look as Alex groggily started to sit up.

"HEY ARSON!" Mardin hollered, grinning as Rose and Alex winced at his loud voice. "ROSE FOUND SOME RANDOM GUY. I THINK THEY BANGED." Arson's head popped out from the side of the doorway. He looked at Alex before looking at Mardin.

"Looks like it, but I've never seen him." Mardin. Rose started to get out of the bed, her mind racing as she reviewed the events of the previous night. She made a sharp movement to swing her legs out and grit her teeth, clutching her stomach. Alex glanced over at her and the image of her cough up blood instantly appeared, and he held her back as she struggled to remain upright. Arson and Mardin exchanged a glance at this.

"Now typically-" Arson started.

"That soreness-" Mardin continued.

"Is a sign-"

"Of a certain pair-"

"Having too much fun." Arson chuckled lightly while Mardin let a sly grin cross his face. Rose groaned and look up at the pair.

"No wonder at the beginning you were so sore Arson. Got used to it eh?" Mardin's smirk disappeared and Arson was silent.

"Why you little-" Rose stood up, ignoring the pain and made her way over to Arson before leaning over to whisper in his ear.

"In case you're dumb, I was insinuating you're a bottom with Mardin." She patted his shoulder and flashed him a pearly white smile. "A bit of revenge." She walked out of her room and called over her shoulder, "please vacate my room."

Alex scrambled out of his room, paused to glance at Arson and Mardin who were still silent before hurrying after Rose.

The pair stared at each other before Mardin shot Arson a cheeky grin.

"I'm open to opportunities." Arson smacked him and laughed.

"No thanks."

"Rose, are you okay?" Alex and Rose were sitting beside each other in one of the many rooms in the building. One of the only rooms that Rose believed the rest of her team would never enter.

So she and Alex were camping out in the library.

As they sat there Alex reflected on the two he had met, even if he had been half asleep. Mardin was the one in the zip up mask, the first one to come in. Arson was the second one...

This team was pretty insane.

"So. What did you think of Mardin and Arson?" Rose asked, leaning against one of the book shelves. Alex looked up at her and bit his lip and he smiled.

"They're pretty interesting. Mardin's a real charmer." Rose laughed, an airy and light one, a laugh she hadn't heard in a while.

"Oh yeah." Alex grinned and continued.
