Chapter Eleven : Justice Isn't Revenge
The two were standing in the arena, breathing heavily, while Omega stood above and looked down on them. Rose turned to look at Omega before lowering her sword and replacing it back in her scabbard. She took a step back before turning away and started to walk away from Avel. Anger coursed through him and he lifted his sword and charged at her back. She turned and saw the blade coming at her and dodged sluggishly; but his sword caught her right arm and she hissed in pain before backing away from him.
"Knock it off Avel." Rose growled, clutching her arm in pain as she backed away. He was seething, and took a step towards her before clutching his side. Omega snapped and Avel disappeared; leaving Rose in the arena. He was about to snap again before Carolyn shouted.
"I CHALLENGE HER!" Rose clutched her arm and turned away as she appeared in the arena.
"Begin." Omega said, before turning to sit beside his brother.

Alpha turned to stare at his brother; who was watching the fight eagerly. Maybe he experienced pleasure from watching people try to kill each other. He might as well be honest, he could never fully understand his brother. As he turned back, all he could see was a hunter goinging after weak prey; though now Rose wasn't the hunter.
And that made it all the more terrifying.
Oh how things have changed brother.
Alpha turned to look at Omega.
You'd be so dissapointed in us if you saw us now.

Rose was starting to lose.
She was also starting to realize that she was a good teacher. Maybe even a bit too good. She had after all taught Carolyn all she knew, and now she was vaguely evenly matched.
Which meant that this was bad. With each dodge Rose was getting slower, and Carolyn knew this. Rose sheathed her sword before drawing out two daggers from her boots and jumped back in time to avoid a fatal swing, but it caught part of her scarf. It tumbled down, but the scarf was the least of Rose's worries. As she jumped away she started to stumble and Carolyn rushed in to try for a stab.
However there was one thing Rose never got to teach Caroyln.
Strategy.
As Rose evaded the move, part of her jacket tore, along with more stitches breaking and a new cut. However Rose couldn't pass up the perfect placing she ignored the pain and brought her elbow down; nailing Carolyn in the back of the neck before kneeing her away. Carolyn tumbled a little bit before she began getting up, but Rose threw a knife and pinned down part of her sleeve. While Carolyn looked down to yank it out Rose ran over and stepped on her hand as she tried. Anger rushed through Rose as she stared down at Carolyn beneath her boot. She pushed down harder and Carolyn cried out in pain.
"ROSE PLEASE!" Carolyn cried out, and Rose froze and her push lessened. With a flash of a grin Carolyn rolled out from under her foot and jumped away from her for a second before jumping back and tackling her. Rose and Carolyn rolled across the ground, Rose's sides burning and Carolyn pinned her down. "Jeez Rose," she hissed, a sadistic smile splitting her face. Rose clenched her teeth as Carolyn started to press down on one of her stitches. "You okay there?" Carolyn said, a hysterical laugh escaping her lips as she punched Rose's stomach, and a scream pierced the air. Carolyn's fist had blood decorating it, and she just kept punching. Rose's voice turned hoarse as she tried to think. Her stitches were clearly breaking, there wasn't much she could do. She glanced up at Omega briefly and saw him shaking his head. Her heart turned cold, and as Carolyn grabbed a knife from her boot Rose started to thrash around. "Stop hurting yourself Rose. Just let me finish." Rose's blood painted Carolyn's face from punching Rose, adding to the anger Rose felt. The knife came down towards Rose's stomach, but stopped. A pained grin spread across Rose's face as gripped her wrist. She could feel her arm tiring, but she held fast. Shock spread across Carolyn's own face, enough that Rose instantly got the upper hand.
