This is a continuation of my first Pokemon story. This story will follow the adventures of a new trainer. Join him on his way to the Johto League.

Out in the Johto Region, in New Bark Town, a young soon to be trainer was by the lake on the outskirts of the town enjoying the scenery of nature.
Riley: Mm. Man, there's nothing I love better than being in the great outdoors. He said leaning against a tree.
Riley is a young boy who had just turned 10. He was born and raised in New Bark Town. And he has a bit of an unusual quirk.
Pidgey: Pidgey pidg pidg.
Riley: Hm? Riley looks up and sees a Pidgey looking down at him. Oh, hello.
Pidgey: Pidg Pidgey pidge.
Riley: Is that right? Okay, I'll see what I can do.
Riley could understand Pokemon. He doesn't have the ability to speak to them as he does with other people. Riley can understand a Pokémon's heart. He can feel their feelings and can tell when they are in need of help.
Riley: Let's see here. Riley was now trying to lift up a boulder as several Pidgey watch. Almost.....there! He lifted it just enough for the Pidgey trapped underneath to fly free.
The Pidgey flew to its friends as they all coo happily.
Riley: He he. Happy to help, guys. Riley said as the Pidgey's fly away.
Suddenly, a strange mist started rolling in.
Riley: Huh? Riley looked around puzzled. This feeling...The boy looked out to the lake and saw it. Is that....?

Riley: No....it couldn't be....Riley was baffled by what was before his eyes. The Pokemon looked at him then leapt away. Wait! Riley started chasing after it. Please don't leave!
Riley ran through the forest trying to catch up to it, but the Pokemon proved too elusive. The mysterious Pokemon was now watching the boy from afar.

Riley: Argh! It's gone. He groaned. But I know it was the same one I saw. Everyone else may not believe, but I know what I saw.
