Today, our heroes are on their way to the Ecruteak gym in Ecruteak City. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Karen: Oh, don't look now. But it looks like we're up a creek without a paddle.

Riley: How do we get across this river?

Marina: The map says there's a bridge nearby.

Soon, our heroes hear someone shouting and look to see a crew of builders working on a bridge.

Jimmy: Uh, excuse me, sir. Is there a bridge near here?

Worker: It was right where you're standing before the typhoon hit last month and the river washed it away. Everyone is shocked at the news.

Karen: Washed it away?!

Worker: Yep, we lost every bridge on the river. But I got my construction team here fast and we started to rebuild this one first. We should have this one back up in about six months.

Riley: Six months?!

Everyone else is distressed after hearing the estimated time it may take for the bridge to be fixed.

Meanwhile, up in the sky, Team Rocket searches the forest below.

Jessie: There it is! I think we should go straight up the river.

Meowth: And so do da cops.

Jessie: James, what's taking so long? Aren't those potatoes ready yet?

James is seen holding some potatoes on a skewer over the fire providing the hot air balloon with hot air to give it lift.

James: Not yet, Jess.

Jessie: Can't you hurry it up a little?

Meowth: Hey, maybe dey'll cook faster if we toin da fire higher.

James: Great idea.

James does so, but the entire balloon burns away as a result, sending the three of them plummeting to the ground with a boom.

Jessie: That was a great idea.

Meowth: Are the spuds done?

James: Well done.

Back at the river....

Jimmy: How are we going to cross the river?

Marina: There must be some way to get across.

Snubbull: Snub Snub! (Look over there)

Riley: We're in luck! There's a man on a boat! Excuse me! We're Pokémon trainers and we're trying to get across!

Marina: Could you take us over in your boat, please?

Fisherman: Be glad to! But before I do, maybe one of you trainers could catch me a Sudowoodo!

Riley: A Sudowoodo?

Fisherman: The Sudowoodo is a very rare kind of Pokémon. They say you can find them up on that mountain there, but I have never seen one. A whole group of Pokémon trainers might have a better chance catching a Sudowoodo than me.

Riley: Sudowoodo, huh?

Riley: Sudowoodo, huh?
