Our heroes trudge ever onward as they continue the journey to the Johto League gym in Olivine City. But today, two of them seem particularly exhausted.

Bolt: [weakly] Pi...Pichu... (Can't keep going...)

Marina: Oh no, Bolt seems to be tired out.

Jimmy: Yeah, it looks a little weak. Pichu tries to show that it's fine, but fails.

Marina: Something's wrong.

Riley: Maybe Pichu is just tired from walking through the mountains all day.

Bolt: Pi. (Not quite)

???: That's not it.

Everyone turns around to see a slightly elderly gentleman sitting on a rock.

Simon: The soil in this area contains minerals that absorb electrical energy

Simon: The soil in this area contains minerals that absorb electrical energy.

Riley: How can minerals absorb energy?

Simon: Very easily. This Pichu belong to you?

Marina: Yes, it does, sir.

Suddenly, the old man starts talking like a Pichu, and Pichu seems to understand him.

Simon: Just as I suspected. Your friends have lost a lot of energy. And if you don't do something fast, they'll both collapse. I have a little rest stop down the road a bit, follow me. Pichu, Pi?

Bolt: Pichu. It said weakly.

Simon: I'm afraid your friends are too weak to walk there.

Riley: How did you know that? How can you tell?

Simon: Because that's what Pichu told me.

Karen: What?

Riley: Pichu told you?

Simon: If you have the same gift I do, then yes. I happen to speak fluent Pokemon. Everyone is shocked at the revelation.

At the rest stop are four familiar looking characters.

Jessie: So nice to have a relaxing, refreshing cup of tea.

James: And with these outfits, we got the senior citizen discount.

Levi: So that's why we're wearing these ridiculous costumes?

James: Yes. Unfortunately, we're nearly out of money again and we have to think of a way to get some.

Meowth: Don't worry, I'll tink of somethin. But I'll think a lot better after I eat!

Meowth then chows down on his takoyaki, but when he looks to the left, he finds our heroes incoming.

Meowth: Here come the twoips!

Jessie: We better hide!

James and Meowth: Right! Team Rocket proceeds to hide under the bench they were sitting on.
