Chapter 6 Back to School
I took the placement tests and received the news that I past them. Although I was already expecting that to happen, I was still ecstatic to know that I didn't have to see Selena almost all of the time when I'm in school. It probably would have gotten ugly, knowing that I would want to get back at her so badly for what she has done. I had made sure to inform the principal that I wanted every faculty in school to address me as 'Stasia so that no one will know who I really was. My personal information is confidential and Dad made sure of that. We kids don't get involve with these things because Dad doesn't want us to be altering anything in the school computer system. I mean, hacking is illegal, so if it's used, it should be used for some good purpose and not for the purpose of altering your grades.
I was ready to start my first day of school. I pulled on a navy tank top and a long sleeve v-neck that matched my tank. Then I pulled on my dark skinny jeans and my black Courtney shearling trim tall platform wedge boots. I grabbed my white pullover hoodie and put it on before I grabbed my down jacket and my black scarf. I had pulled my hair back into a ponytail to prevent the crisp winter wind from messing it up when I'm outside. I pulled my hood over my head since it was warm and comfortable, but not before putting on my scarf. I applied some lip gloss and grabbed my purse before heading down to the garage where Sam had been waiting for three minutes.
"For a girl, you dress fast," he commented.
"As if you didn't know that already."
"Well, I thought that you would at least take ten minutes to make yourself look presentable, but I guess you don't need that much time."
"Thank you, brother. Now lets get going before we end up being late for school on the first day back. We got into the car and Sam started the ignition.
About thirty minutes later, we were in the school parking lot. Apparently, many people have found out about our arrival to school and were waiting for us in the parking lot. People were pretending to be busy, but they were all staring at our car expectantly. Aaron texted Sam and I before we got out of the car: Watch out for those girls, Sam. And to me he texted: watch out for the guys. They've heard about the new HOTTIE in school. Sam and I glanced at each other before stepping out of the car. Everyone paused and stared as if we were aliens visiting from another planet. Aaron and our other friends walked towards us. When they were about five feet away, everyone, as they snapped out of their trance, came swarming towards us, wanting to know about the new students. Thank God Aaron and the rest of the guys got to us before the rest of the student body could. They surrounded us and walked us into the school building as if they were our bodyguards. Huh, ironic, isn't it? That Sam and I were trained to be bodyguards, yet we needed them on the first day of school.
When we got to the office, the secretary, Mrs. Halls gave us our schedule and told us that the principal was busy. We made our way out of the office and went to our lockers, which were near our friends.
Sam and I showed the rest of the guys our schedule before we went our separate ways. We had planned everything out, as if how we are going to get from class to class and who's going to be with us at what time. They were determined to be our bodyguard for the day, which I'm grateful for. Who would've imagined the girl that used to be trashed could be the cause of this fan crazed student body along with her brother?
We were in the same homeroom with Aaron and decided that we head to class. I guess Dad had everything settled. I'd be skipping a grade so that i can meet my fiancee earlier. Five minutes before the bell rang for homeroom, the students started coming in one by one, trying to act calm. The second we smiled, they started screaming. Well, I'm a celebrity now. The girls surrounded Sam as the guys came up to me and introduced themselves one at a time, being as civilized as possible. Many boys have prepared a little present as a way of showing their welcome. I modestly accepted them, for the sake of not offending anyone. There were chocolates and flowers and cards (long messages along with their numbers on them). However, I told them, "I'm sorry guys. I'll take the cards right now, but can you guys give me the other gifts later? I don't think I'll be able to carry it with me around for the rest of the day. Just come look for me after school is over. I will be in the parking lot until 4."
