Odalia had just returned, she was unpacking, but alador wasn't home. While unpacking, she thought of what eda said at the reunion. It made her angry, eda always seemed to be doing better, she seemed in control, and she always looked happier. All odalia could say was she was married and with kids but now eda has kids, and their on social media with her a little. Apparently now one of them can cook really well, which is very advanced for a 14-year-old.
It made her blood boil, eda was a rambunctious, chaotic, messy, Rebilous teenager, and even through college, she didn't change. To odalia people like that shouldn't be doing well. Lilith on the other hand, yes, odalia could see how she succeeded. Lilith was refined, polite yes an extreme germaphobe, but intelligent. Polar opposites, so how was their relationship always so stable? Odalia couldn't understand, and what she didn't understand she despised.
Meanwhile, eda was actually on the phone with her sister.
"Glad to know you okay"
"Yeah... I'm pretty she's they didn't find me asleep"
"Speaking of, you know you have to put them in school, correct?"
"Oh shit... I do don't I?"
"Yes it's against the law to not have them in school"
"Damn... Any suggestions?"
"Not at the moment but il look around"
"Thanks, Lily! Alright, uh shoot... Where's they go?"
"Are they outside?"
"No... Liam hates the sun"
"Well you should go find them"
"Yeah..talk to you later"
Eda hung up and then went to the room of her 3 teenagers. "Guys?" She asked, but they weren't there. However, there was a trap door open on the floor. Eda didn't have a basement, so she looked confused. She opened it and then heard nakusa, Liam, and Cassandra. She climbed down the ladder, and what she saw shocked her. An entire fucking underground base. "Holy shit... What the hell did you guys do?" Eda asked.
Cassandra had a whole science setup that looked professional. Nakusa with 4 tables of different weapons, and a punching bag, and Liam sitting in a large container of Legos. "Oh! Hi eda! Give me your arm really quickly" Cassandra said and stuck a needle in Eda's arm. "Ow! What the hell was that for!?"eda asked, while holding her arm. "Watch your mouth!" Cassandra scolded. "Bitch-.. Never mind, what is all this?" Eda asked. "We built a bunker under your house," nakusa said. "I see that- Liam why are you in a.. Box of legos?" Eda asked.
Liam looked at eda, then just sunk into the legos. "How did you guys build this!?" Eda asked in shock. "It was easy actually, with you at work every night and an engineer we threatened- hired...it went by like a breeze," nakusa said. "First you bought Netflix now this!? Yeah hell no, you guys are going to school" eda sighed. "Ew...no way, school is lame" nakusa scoffed. "You guys have to go anyway, but seriously whatever you do next, make sure it's legal" eda instructed. "Ehh.. Probably won't be" Nakusa chuckled.
In Times like this, eda wondered how her life had come to this.
Then she heard someone scream her name. Eda looked up, then hurried back up, and all 3 teenagers followed her.
When eda got up to her living room, she saw none other than her old friend Esmeralda. Eda looked excited. "Esmeri!? Holy shit!" Eda beamed. "Hiii eda! How my favorite walking disaster" Esmeralda teased. Eda chuckled and hugged Esmeralda tight. "It's so good to see you!" Eda said happily. Esmeralda then saw nakusa, Liam, and Cassandra. "No! Eda, you didn't!" Esmeralda beamed. "What?" Eda asked with a crooked smile. "Who knocked you up!?" Esmeralda asked. "What!? Nobody! Has all the lube and cocaine gone to your brain!?" Eda asked. "You have 3 kids standing right behind you!" Esmeralda argued. Eda looked back and then chuckled. "They're not actually mine, Their foster kids" eda explained. "Ohh.. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense" Esmeralda said.
The three teenagers exchanged confused, then mischievous glances. "Heyy.. Eda, why don't... You go out, and.. Catch up, with.. Uh, your friend here?" Cassandra said. "really? I am.. that could be fun, but I can't just leave you guys alone" eda said. "We can take care of ourselves, in fact, go out with all your friends," nakusa said, a hint of chaos in her tone. "What do you say, Esmeralda? You down?" Eda asked. "You know I am!" Esmeralda beamed.
And that's how planning started, they decided to go to a casino, for shits and giggles. Eda invited, Lilith, Darius, and Raine. She wasn't sure how this would go, but she wanted to have fun. Nakusa found eda in the middle of getting dressed. Eda was dressed as if she were going to a ball or something. Nakusa cringed. " uh.. Eda? You look... Well... Fancy" nakusa said with a confused tone. Eda chuckled. "Yeah, I just... It won't hurt me to put some effort into my appearance" Eda said, remembering the same words told to her years ago.
Nakusa scoffed. "Listen, owl lady, you don't dress up for other people to look at you, you dress how you want, and if people stare then it's proof that you're unique" Eda looked at nakusa surprised, then chuckled. "Owl lady? Where the hell did that come from, kiddo?" Eda asked with a playful tone. "You up all hours of the night, weirdo" nakusa scoffed. Eda rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah, and since when do you care how I dress?" Eda asked. "Since you put on a dress that makes you look like the words let them eat cake was about to fly out your mouth," nakusa remarked. Eda started laughing, then brushed her hair behind her ear.
Eda looked at herself, then the white-haired child in front of her. "You really think I should change?" Eda asked. "That's up to you, you can go out looking like a red velvet marshmallow, or, you can put on something you actually like, and let me burn that dress" nakusa shrugged. Eda nodded. "Yeah, you're right, you're an honest one kiddo" eda sighed, and went into her closet to change. She then came out in a long simple elegant dark red dress, that was long-ish sleeves and went off her shoulders, with a small slit on her right side. "Better?" Eda asked. "You tell me" nakusa scoffed. Eda smiled and nodded. "Are you guys sure you don't want me to get a babysitter?" eda asked. "If you do, they will need therapy" nakusa sighed and left as room.
As eda grabbed her keys, then put 30 dollars down on the counter so they could order a pizza or something. "Alright! I'm leaving! Don't burn my house down!" Eda instructed and left.
She arrived at the casino with the help of a taxi and started feeling a little self-conscious. But all that melted away when she caught Raines's gaze on her. They had on a white dress shirt, a choker, black dress pants, and boots, but the elegant kind. Their eyes practically lit up upon seeing their ex-lover. Taking in all of her. And believe it or not, this is the only time she's worn her hair down in front of them, well... When they weren't Indulging in unholy activities." You.. Look amazing eda" they finally muttered. Eda blushed, then spotted her sister and Esmeralda smirking at her. "Thank you..so do you" eda responded and found herself, close to them.
Darius then cleared his throat and said. "Are y'all gonna make out or not? Because all this staring is making me sick" he remarked. Eda and Raine got flustered, and both of their eyes shit down at the dirty concrete. "Enough Darius, leave them alone, you know how they get," Lilith said in as much, teasing tone, and dragged her sister inside. Esmeralda looked at Darius, then Raine.
She followed eda and Lilith in, and then Raine and Darius went in. "Edaaa think you can rack in another 12 million in one night?" Esmeralda sang. Eda scoffed. "I make it 15 million" Lilith looked at eda slightly concerned. "Edalyn, don't be too hasty, you could earn a lot of debt," Lilith said. "Don't worry! I'm actually really good at gambling" eda remarked, then subtly took Raine's hand.
It was going to be a wild night when Edalyn Clawthorne got a hold of dice, and best believe she was going to out-show everyone. Not to mention she would be drinking her morals away. That's what happens when she gets in certain places that only used to exist in her past, places she thought she would've left behind, but that's okay, because it's a cheat night, and with none other than Raine whispers, she'll have the time of her life.
