Eda insisted, Raine and her kids get along so they all went to the park, because eda said so.
Just.. Because she said so, and non of them were. Allowed to say no. Nakusa and Cassandra were digging a hole to bury Liam alive. "Yess.. The sweet release of death" he said, his voice lacking any emotion. "Shut up, emo boy your not actually dying" nakusa said scolding him. "Don't take this away from me" Liam said, with a frown. Raine looked over at them, then at eda. "Should.. We be concerned about liam?" They asked. "Hm? Oh, nah, he's like that all the time" eda said. "Okay.. " Raine muttered. "Go bond with them! I'm sure they'll love you" eda said, clearly lying for their sake. "As much as you love me?" Raine asked in a playful tone. Eda giggled, and kissed their cheek a few times. "Impossible, nobody can love you as much as I do" eda remarked, then russled their hair.
Raine walked over to the 3 teens, and watched as Liam climbed in the hole. "Hey.. Guys.. " Raine said nervously. "Hii!" Cassandra beamed, then pit dirt over Liam. "Is.. He gonna be able to breathe?" Raine asked. "Yeah he'll be fine, what do you want?" Nakusa asked. "Just uh.. Wanted to see how you guys were doing" Raine said, nervously. "We're fine, but we do need someone to hold the funeral for liam, that or let him gnaw off your ankles for the zombie apocalypse" nakusa said, and looked directly at Raines ankles. "O-oh..uh.. No thanks" Raine said in a nervous tone.
Eda came over, and held their hand sensing how nervous they were. "Hey kiddos" she said with her charming smile. "Hey, owl lady" nakusa said, non chalantly. "Liam, can you breath buddy?" Eda asked, and she kneeled down in front of the hole. "Unfortunately.. " Liam sighed. Eda let out a small chuckle. "Alrighty then me and Raine will just be over here, okay?" Eda asked. "Alright! But seriously we need someone to hold the funeral ceremony" Cassandra said, as nakusa started hitting Liam with the toy shovel because eda said they couldn't keep real ones. "Alright.. Il bite" eda sighed with a smile, then looked at Raine with a cheeky smile. "Here, you have to read from this" nakusa, said, and handing the paper to her.
Eda took it, and started reading it aloud. "Here lies.. Liam tamayo, who died at the ripe age of 14 because hes a stupid Fucking.. Emo boy-" eda stopped and looked at nakusa with a knowing glare. "Edaa! Keep reading! Nakusa write it herself!" Cassandra complained. "Yeah I can tell, you can't day these things about your brother" eda said. "Uh.. Calamity, you called your sister a goth for like.. 4 years straight" Raine said with a small giggle. "Sh, this isn't about me, this is about them" eda said, dismissing the claim. "Hypocrite!" Nakusa said, and pointed at eda. She chuckled. "Alright, alright. Maybe I am but hey, I'm the adult here" eda said smugly. Cassandra then saw Vivian from afar, not knowing who it was. "Hey eda, that woman is staring at you" she said. Eda looked over, seeing Vivian sitting on a bench, her heart starting to race faster.
Raine saw as eda tried to ignore it but that it obviously bothered her. "M-must be nothing, anyway.. Uhm.. Dig up Liam" eda said, and sat down on the grass next to raine, staying as close to them as possible. They stayed in the park for a few more hours, just listening to nakusa, Liam, and Cassandra talk. Raine kept their arm around her waist. "You'll be okay, baby.. I won't let her touch you" they whispered in her ear. She smiled a little, and layed her head on their shoulder.
However, after Darius helped Lilith clean out her office, and get all the boxes to her car, she looked back at the law firm one last time. "You gonna be alright?" He asked. ".. Y-yes, il be fine.." She muttered. "Hey now, don't start lying like your sister" he said half jokingly. "No seriously, I'm alright, just a little frustrated is all" Lilith admitted, Darius could of course understand that. Lilith thought about what eda had told her.
"We're uhm.. Trying again" eda muttered, her cheeks flushed, as she was clearly embarrassed. "Oh? Well that's good news, you do seem.. Well.. More nervous than I thought" Lilith she said, tilting her head slightly. "Yes..i just.. We had a talk about.. Honestly and.. Vulnerability.. And it just makes me feel so embarrassed" eda admittedm"how come? Did something happen?" Lilith asked "no! I just.. Don't like it! I just thought maybe if I told you.. Maybe I could tell them to.. " eda muttered. Lilith started giggling a little which clearly embarrassed her sister. "Lilith! Don't laugh!!" Eda yelled. "Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean any harm, I've never never seen you so.. Sheepish before, well.. Not without Raine around you" Lilith said, as one more tease. "Shut up-.. " eda muttered.
It's the more Lilith noticed eda's growth as a person. "I'm going to head home, but thank you for your help" Lilith said, and got inside her car. "See ya, I hope you find another job soon" Darius said, with a smil le. As Lilith drove off, he looked at the law firm then Lilith. He walked back in, and knocked on the bosses office door. "Come in!" Was heard from the other side, so Darius walked in. "Demmonne, do you need something?" He asked. "Yeah, fuck you,i quit" he said, and threw his badge at him,and cleaned out his office and left.
There's always a saying between friends, if we go down, we go down together.
When nakusa, Liam, and Cassandra went back to school. They weren't in class as usual. They were actually just roaming the halls while talking. "Yeah I don't know, I'm pretty sure she's just mentally ill" Liam said, as their conversation on eda's weird behavior. "I think she's trying too hard" nakusa scoffed. "I think it's sweet! I've never had a mom, so I kinda like it" Cassandra beamed. "Lower your voice, fool" Liam scolded. "Sorry! But I really like her! And this is the longest we've ever been with a foster family" Cassandra said. "Hm, good point" nakusa shrugged. "I say we just let whatever happens, happens" Cassandra said. "And if someone chooses to harm her?" Liam asked. "Oh, then il look the other way as you two brutally murder them" Cassandra replied in a cheery voice.
Right as they all agreed, ms Harris walked up to them, glaring. "And what are you little monsters doing out here? Do any of you have a hallpass?" She asked in a harsh tone. "What? No- I'm not carrying a random peice of paper around with me" nakusa scoffed. "Then you three will be spending the afternoon in detention" ms Harris scolded. "The fuck is detention?" Liam asked. "Oh, it's a type of punishment for misbehaving" Cassandra said in her cheery tone. "and you be quiet! Only speak when spoken to" ms Harris scolded.
Nakusa and Liam glared at the principle, reaching in their pockets. Cassandra shook her head. Liam and nakusa backed off, but we're glaring darts at ms Harris. "Count your days, bitch" nakusa said, her tone gull of anger, and frustration.
They left the school building, and went into the woods where their treehouse was set up. It was build 25 feet off the ground, with pillars under it and a latter to enter, and exit. The tree house was a pretty decent size with a dart board, beanbag chairs, a mini fridge with mainly surgery snacks, a computer set up and some how they got Wi-Fi up there. "I will absolutely slaughter, that no husband having bitch" Liam ranted. "You guys killed her husband, that must be why she hates us" Cassandra said. "Oh well, first chance we get, we're throwing her in a river to drown" nakusa scoffed. "Eda said we cant, remember?" Cassandra asked. "Ugh! Damnit! Your right..what if we throw a rabbit raccoon in her office?" Nakusa suggested. "Thats still murder" Cassandra scoffed. "Hey, Cass.. You remember that woman that was staring at eda?" Liam asked. "Mhm" Cassandra hummed. "Look her up, I have a bunch" Liam sighed.
Cassandra took a few minutes, then found all Vivian's information. "Her name is Vivian.. But her last name isn't registered..she doesn't have a job, not a legal one at least, and has relations with a man named Terry" Cassandra said. "Who's Terry? Her husband?" Nakusa asked. "No, Vivian isn't regesterednin marriage, or even divorced.. But I don't see anything about eda" Cassandra said, then continued to dig. "She's constantly buying nicotine.. And Terry is a drug dealer.. So she must be some type of addict" Cassandra said. "But there's nothing on eda with her?" Nakusa asked. "Nope.. " Cassandra responded. "I don't trust that, eda looked..afraid when she saw that woman, and my intuition is never wrong" Liam said.
They would keep their guards up for now, and keeps close eye on eda as well.
