Eda and Raine had mistakenly ended up in Eda's bed, but they didn't have to worry about getting caught since her kids were in school. They knew they shouldn't really be in such a situation, but they were fully clothed, just really touchy. Eda was on top of them, thinking of any and every reason to leave right now, but was unable to do so. "Rainstorm..thank you" she whispered. Raine looked at her a little confused. "For what?" They asked. "I-.. Y-you know" she muttered as her cheeks burned from embarrassment.
Raine chuckled and planted a small kiss on her collarbone. "Yeah..and don't thank me for that, if anything it was a team effort," they said jokingly. Eda chuckled and nuzzled in their neck. "You clingy" Raine teased. "Oh shut up, you know exactly what you did to me" she scoffed. "Eh, considering your pants are still on, it wasn't very much" they replied. Eda bit her lip, still feeling the hickeys on her neck. "Raine..i.. " she stopped, the words she desperately wanted to say refused to surface. "Hm? What is it calamity?" Raine asked. "Nothing. Never mind, it's not important" she sighed and cuddled into them. "Are you sure?" They asked "Yes.." She muttered and tried her best to hide in their arms. Raine blushed, finding her actions adorable. They weren't going to say anything but kept her close so she could hide just as she wanted.
All she wanted to tell them was she loved them. So very much. But she didn't deserve such relief, in her eyes at least.
One could argue they rushed into this, but no..both adults were just really touch starved. Having her with them so freely, her huddled in their chest. Raine started thinking about what eda said last night. "Nightmares.. " they muttered to themselves. They didn't want to say anything yet because she was comfortable. As strong as she was emotionally, her curling up against them felt like the ultimate dream. They felt her heart rate slow down, then her soft snoring.
They looked down, and she was asleep. In all honesty, she didn't mean to, actually, she was silently fighting it. But she's sleep-deprived, and the warmth and comfort she felt was indescribable. Raine smiled softly, watching her. They kissed her head, then decided to just let her sleep. They sat up and then took a picture of eda sleeping peacefully.
They seemed satisfied. Knowing she was there again, and that they would never let her go again. However then her body started moving, she was tossing and turning. Raine wondered what she was dreaming about, unknowing of her condition. "No.. " she muttered. Raine looked down, then chuckled. "She talks in her sleep. That's cute" they said to themselves. However, as time went on she got worse. Her tears formed, as she trembled, begging for some type of Mery. Raine looked worried, then tried to shake her awake. Her body reacted, and she punished them in the chest. They fell off the bed due to surprise and pain.
As they tried to get home, they looked at her with fear. "She... Fights in her sleep" they muttered. However, what eda saw was much worse.
Blood spilled around her, shattered glass through her arms and stomach, her own being bleeding. "This all could have been avoided," a female voice said. Eda looked behind her, and there was Raine lying on the floor... Dead. "Raine.. R-RAINE" eda screamed. Their lifeless body right at her feet, covered in blood. "Raine!! Rainestorm!! Now!! Please wake up!!" She screamed through tears. Someone grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground.
Nakusa stood above her, knife in hand. "You brought this on yourself," she said in a cold tone. "Nakusa!.. W-wheres Cassie and Liam!?" Eda asked frantically.
Nakusa didn't answer, then heard an echo of maniacal laughter. "Edalyn~ my precious little toy. How many times do I need to tell you.." Eda looked around and then saw a woman with black hair, with purple highlights. "No... No.. Vivian.. Please! Get away from me!!" Eda screamed.
Her world crumbled around her, as she was grabbed by Vivian, then the only thing around her was darkness.
However Raine just saw her tears escape her eyes, her body turning and trembling, and her hands griping at the covers. They try to wake her up but are punched In the face each time. However, 3 hours later her body went limp. Raine looked worried. "Eda?.." They muttered. They weren't sure if she would punch them again if they just tried to adjust her because half her body was hanging off the bed. Raine decided they would risk it for her.
They slowly ran their hand down her arm, no reaction. They sighed in relief When she didn't move or anything they gently grabbed Her and held her close to their chest. They're not sure what the hell that was, but she seemed scared. Maybe those were the nightmares she mentioned, if so they wondered what the hell she was dreaming about not to make her about to hit people in her sleep.
But for now, she seemed okay...
Meanwhile, nakusa, Cassandra, and Liam were in the teacher's Lounge getting Snacks. "And so Raine said that even though she didn't give birth to us, she can still be a mom to us" Liam explained. "Hm. I never thought about that" Cassandra hummed. "I guess so, although I'm not sure about the whole mom thing," nakusa said."I mean yeah she's pretty cool, but..a mom? That's a little bit of a stretch," nakusa said, as she was eating pudding. "Well, I think it's nice! My mom wasn't very... Active, so I think having one would be so much fun!" Cassandra beamed. "My parents were either at a bar or at some strip club, but you don't see me gawking over some random woman the law forced to take care of us, and she gets paid to do it," Nakusa said. "Really? She gets paid to take care of us?" Liam asked. "Well yeah, anybody who fosters a kid gets paid to do it, so she gets 3 checks a month" Nakusa explained. "Hm, what a twist," Liam said, then Went to take a nap on the floor.
Cassandra and nakusa exchanged glances, then proceeded to draw on Liam's face. The Pain of Siblings.
However, 2 hours later, when Eda woke up, she saw exactly what she did to Raine, and felt absolutely disgusted With herself. She got them an ice pack for their eye and was sitting next to them, feeling guilty. Raine tried assuring her it was okay, but eda wasn't really listening. "Calamity.. Don't feel bad, you didn't mean to" Raine said, and took her hand. Eda didn't say anything and pulled her hand away. Raine looked at her concerned, then said. "Baby.. Please? Don't be upset about this, you didn't mean to" they pleaded with her softly. "This is why.." She whispered. "Hm?" Raine hummed in question. "This is why I didn't tell you about my condition. I knew I'd hurt you" she whimpered, as tears started to form. "Sweetheart.. I don't care what problems you are facing, I want to help you" they said, in a comforting tone.
Eda stood up folding her arms. "And because of that I Fucking-.. Sucker punched you in my sleep!" She said in an outburst. Raine looked at her with sorrow but didn't say anything. "Why can't you understand that I'm dangerous!? And why'd you even touch me!?" Eda asked, then sighed. "Of course you did.. You are always affectionate in bed" eda muttered to herself. "Ugh! How could I let myself fall asleep..!? Because.. I haven't slept in months" eda said, and she started pacing around while talking to herself. Raine watched her, slightly amused, they missed the Way she'd pace around when she was stressed. Raine stood up and grabbed her by her waist. Eda looked shocked, and then her cheeks flushed. "Get off me.. " She muttered. "Eda.. Look at me" they requested. She looked at them, then received and kiss on her cheek. "I want you to tell me these things.. I want you to let me help you, okay?" They asked. Eda nodded. "But I hurt you" eda muttered. "It was an accident.., I don't know what condition you have, but if you are suffering I want you to trust me enough to confide in me," they said, in a gentle Tone.
Eda sighed and held their cheek. "I do trust you...with my life fact, I just, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I seriously hurt you" Eda admitted. "Just.. Promise me, no more lies, no more secrets" they asked. Eda let out a breathy chuckle. "Of course.. I promise, I love you" she muttered. She pressed a tender kiss on their lips, having the feeling of knowing she was theirs Again. Raine smiled in the kiss and raked through her hair. She pulled back and then looked into their eyes. "No more lies.. No more secrets" she told them, watching their lips curl into a smile.
And she planned on keeping that promise.
