Veronica and Jeremy were at the grill celebrating their A when along came a familiar face, "hey guys"Standing up to look at the person talking, Veronica said, "oh hey Anna!"
"How'd it go?" Anna asked.
"How'd what go?" Jeremy wondered, finally entering the conversation.
"The paper dummy," Veronica looked back at Jeremy to laugh at him. "Went good, we got an A! Thanks for the articles!"
"Yeah they really helped," Jeremy added.
"Cool! So what'd he say about the vampires? Did he believe it?"
"I don't even believe it. It's just a paper, Anna."
Adding to the two Veronica said, "Yeah I'm sorry Anna but my dad is not one to believe fiction, my mom tried it on him for years and he never caved."
Jeremy tried to remind the Saltzman girl that they have to go, "anyways, uh, we have to get goin"
Trying to stall them a little longer while they cleaned up the pool table, Anna said " hey, um...d-do you wanna do something later? Maybe?"
"Uh, sorry. We're stuck on punch duty at the school dance." Jeremy said answering for the both of them.
"Oh, how'd you get stuck with that?" Anna asked while laughing at the two.
"Well, he's failing English and-"
Cutting off Veronica explaining, Jeremy said, "Hey I copped a plea deal like I did with Mr Saltzman"
"Anyways, I got stuck there because my dad got stuck there, he knew I wouldn't go unless I had too."
"So maybe, you know, tomorrow, or something?" Anna insisted on the other two.
Giving Veronica a side eye smudge Jeremy could see how desperate this girl was to hang out with them.
Seeing the way Jeremy acted made Anna realize something, "I'm being pushy again, aren't i?"
"Well I'll see you around" Jeremy said putting his arm around Veronica's shoulder leading them away from Anna.
"Bye Anna see you later." Veronica managed to say.
Once the two walked out the door Veronica pushed Jeremy off of her.
"Okay what was that?" She asked him.
"What?"
Using her making fun of Jeremy's voice, Veronica said, "well I'll see you around.....I mean come on can you not be more obvious."
"Obvious about what?" He questioned.
"She likes you and you are being a total emo jerk to her. I get it, trust me, you were in a relationship and it took a big toll on you but how are you ever going to move on if you are stuck on the same girl forever."
