A couple of days had passed and Veronica did her best to avoid her father until she could figure out how to confront him about keeping a secret this big. She understood why her father would try and hide it from her in a protective father type of way but she thought they were closer than this. That he could trust her with anything and everything.

Veronica spent a lot of time with her new friends. Between attending Bonnie's grandmothers funeral with Elena, hanging out with Jeremy, going to lunch with Caroline, and having Stefan check up on her everyday since she found out about vampires, her schedule was packed.

"Hey, I'm heading to the grill if you want to come?" Alaric was trying everything he possibly could to get his daughter to spend time with him but she always had something else to do.

"Cant, I'm meeting Caroline." Veronica replied not even giving a glance towards her father as she was packing some things into her bag.

"okay how about for dinner? We could get take out and watch a movie like we used to?" He tried once again.

Finally looking up at her father she said, "I'm going with Elena and Stefan."

"Stefan Salvatore? When did you get close with him?" He questioned. Alaric remembered telling Stefan to stay away from her.

"I don't know. He's Elena's boyfriend and I got close to Elena. Look I have to go." Veronica started to head to the door and when she reached for the knob she looked back at her father to say something again, "maybe tomorrow."

Alaric only nodded at her before she quickly shut the door and left. He had heard " maybe tomorrow" enough times to know there was no tomorrow.

"She was a cheerleader." Elena and Jenna had spent the morning discussing a few things about her biological mother.

"Trudie still lives there. This is her address." Jenna tells her niece as she hands her a paper.

"What about Isobel?" Elena asks.

"I couldn't find anything about her." Jenna tells her as Elena sits down to look at some of the other things Jenna had given her. Jenna looked at her niece before she decided to confess something else she learned, "listen, there's something else. Mr. Saltzman, Ric, his wife was from around here and.....her name was also Isobel."

Elena took a moment to take that in before she realized that Jenna was talking about Veronicas mother. She remembered Veronica talking about her mom being a cheerleader but the main thing she remembered was that Veronica mentioned that she died.

"Veronica told me about her, she died." Elena told her aunt.

"Yeah. It was a tuff thing for the both of them. She was killed and Ric said that they never solved the case. And Veronica hasn't moved on......but it could just be a coincidence. I just didn't want to hide something from you." The aunt confessed since the last secret she knew caused her niece to get mad at her.
