juniper was a dreamer - but never a believer. she had dreams, but never believed they would come true.
just like she never believed in the supernatural. if something in the world didn't have a logical explanation, then she didn't believe in it.

chapter fifteen | sorry song ————————————————————————
"oh, great angle. yeah." reggie said, as the four ghosts were currently in a cafe, sat at a table with a woman who was taking pictures of her food. "now that's a good pic."
"is this what we're here for? to watch people take pictures of food?" alex asked, sat opposite from juniper who was sat next to reggie.
"it's fun, alex! people are so wrapped up in their phones that they miss everything in the real world." juniper said, and reggie looked at her in agreement.
"it is fun. watch this." reggie said as he moved the woman's sweet treat around the table, her hand trying to find it through the view of her phone. when she finally put her phone down, she grabbed her plate and moved to a different table.
alex and juniper laughed at reggie, and reggie looked over at juniper at the sound of her laugh. the two held eye contact for a while, both of them with smiles on their faces, before reggie broke the eye contact, speaking to alex to try and distract himself from the way junie was making him feel.
"and luke said something about this place being a hot stop for music industry people." he said, and junie nodded her head, a blush still dancing over her cheeks.
junie turned around after hearing luke mumble a 'yes' under his breath, and watched as he sat down at the table.
"guys! being a ghost definitely has it's privileges. i just wrote out names on the playlist for tonight." luke spoke, and alex leaned over the table towards junie and reggie.
"i'm getting a little worried about him. he keeps forgetting that julie quit the band!" he said, his voice getting higher at the end of his sentence as he looked over at luke.
"and she's gonna come back just as soon as she knows we have a great gig." luke said, and junie shook her head in disagreement.
"it's not gonna be that simple, luke. she deserves an apology - a good one at that. we really messed up. i think it'll take a lot more that just signing us up for a gig to make her join the band again. we're lucky she's still letting us stay in the garage." juniper said, and alex pointed over to her in agreement.
"but if she doesn't come back, let's not forget, we do have somewhere else we can play and eat pizza." reggie spoke, talking about the hollywood ghost club.
"dude, i know. it was awesome to be seen by lifers at caleb's party, but... but we got this with julie. we don't need him." luke spoke.
almost as if luke's word triggered it, the four ghosts were hit in the chest by purple jolts once again. they all winced, looking over at eachother as rubbed at their chests.
"oh, it's the same thing again!" alex spoke as the pain from the jolts was subsiding.
"yeah, just like yesterday." luke said, and junie agreed.
